Right now he is on top (thanks to Mayweather retiring a few years ago). We'll see who's on top after May 1st so Manny better enjoy being on top for a few months while he can. If Shane beats Floyd then Shane will be on top for beating Margarito and an undefeated Floyd Mayweather. If Floyd beats Shane then Floyd will be on top and take his number 1 pound for pound status back from Manny. Manny just ate the crumbs off of Mayweathers table.

If Floyd beats Shane, we're not going to see a Mayweather vs Pacman fight because Floyd is going to get tougher in regards to the negotiations. Floyd won't accept a 50/50 split if he beat Shane and his fight does better numbers (pay per view) than Manny's fight.

floyd is scared to blemish his unbeaten record stop living in denial...and pac is on top not because mayweather's scared ass retired, it's because he's won 7 titles (who else done it tony?), fight's all the best ranked opposition, has been winning in convincing fashion, stays humble, is entertaining to watch, should i keep goin? all this while usually being the smaller fighter. now tell me what has mayweather done in the past i don't know 5 years? feel free to compare their resumes since mayweather retired since thats the reason pac is on top according to you.

Looks like Manny has agreed to fight Clottey. Oh boy. This one should be good. I'm pissed about the Mayweather fight not happening, but this one will definitely be more exciting.

Clottey's gameplan was to let pacquiao do his thing for the first few rounds and he thought pacquiao would slow down. He said this before the actual fight and he stated this again after the fight.

Pacquiao never slowed down, in fact he picked it up.

Clottey couldn't deal with the non-stop punches that pacquiao threw, just like Winky Wright couldn't deal with the non-stop punches paul williams threw (I say this cuz winky and clottey both have the same style, that peek-a-boo shell defense shit). Pacquiao also was never really there to be hit, even though he was throwing 100 punches per round he was doing this while moving side to side, clottey couldn't set up his counters.

Clottey clealy didn't want to get KO'd either and after the fight he said this, he felt like if he opened up he was going to get knocked out.

If you get in the ring and just hope not to get knocked out then you lost already.

no shit.

That wasn't his plan from the start, that's what developed after getting beat so badly as the rounds went on.
Props to pac....but the outcome was obvious. Pac likes to hit and clottey likes to get hit he also is not known for being aggresive. Oh well im sure no one is surprised!! I might not even waist my time watching it when it comes on hbo for free.

I guess that's why he taking on the "real" champ at WW huh...
why don't you answer the question to what's been so impressive about mayweather the passed 5 years and compare pac's and his resumes as of late instead of making meaningless opinions? most likely cuz you don't got nothin solid to say lol! better yet make it quick on yourself and compare pac's and mayweather's resumes at welterweight alone it shouldnt take you long since pac only has 2 fights as welterweight.

i don't think the outcome was obvious to anyone. did most people think pac was goin win yeah, but obvious nah. nobody knew if pac would be able to get through clottey's barricade defense and for the most part he couldnt, but what he did was a non-stop attack for 12 rounds which never allowed clottey to do shit. pac was fuckin clottey's body up and eventually clottey's hands started to drop a little bit and he got caught wit some solid ones to the dome. if you watch some slow mo's you'll see the hits affect clottey. another thing that isnt clearly obvious yet is how well pac takes punches from these bigger welterweights. he took some solid ones from clottey who is much bigger, and it didnt even phase him. shit there were parts in the fight where he just stood there covered up and allowed clottey to bang em a few times like he did against cotto.

I like how tony propped you for this statement without even watching the fight himself.

If that doesn't prove he is biased as hell nothing will
LOL, I propped DFresh77 for keepin' it 100. Don't "ass"ume because it makes an ass out of u an me. Next time just ask.

Never saw too much of Calzaghe (seem him slap around B-Hop and Roy Jones) but to remain undefeated is impressive. Never heard of Sven Ottke.

What's been so impressive about Mayweather? He remains undefeated! He hasn't been beat. That's impressive in my book.
that's fine and dandy tony, you still havent compared resumes. cut it short for yourself and compare welterweight resumes tell me what you see. being undefeated is impressive, but not when you "choose" not to fight the best and hide behind the money.

Well was Clottey the best? Too bad De La Hoya wanted to fight Floyd at 154 so I guess we can't add De La Hoya to Floyd's resume at WW huh...

But then De La Hoya can fight Pacman at 147.

^^^ tell me what clottey was ranked and look at the list of fighters he's fought and how well he fought against them. is dlh vs pbf your best comparison, because how convincingly did mayweather win that fight? pac destroyed dlh and dlh was goin to sleep if he fought another round instead of giving up so thats a terrible comparison to back your boy pbf's rep on.

De la hoya had 1 fight in three years prior to floyd.

I personally don't think oscar is a huge win for either guy to be honest, he was their money fight. Oscar wasn't in his prime in either fight. Shit, bernard hopkins doesn't even get much credit and he knocked his ass out and that was long before floyd.
