will be interesting to see if Margs is successfull working manny's body. No fighter in a long time has attacked pac's body...

Garcia’s got Margarito doing things designed to take away Pacquiao’s jab and to make the shorter man reach in with his left. It looks like Garcia has done his homework on Pacquiao’s various attack maneuvers and he’s trying his best to have Margarito ready to counter them. I’d say at least 75 percent of the punches he threw during the eight-round mitt session I watched were body shots.

I don’t think it’s any secret that Garcia wants his fighter to hurt Pacquiao to the body before he has Margarito attempt to back the smaller man to the ropes.

clottey, judah, pacquiao, margarito and shane mosley (he was definately hurt in the last couple rounds).

the only people that didn't rock cotto at 147 were:

Michael Jennings
Alfonso Gomez
Carlos Quintana
the original question that we already talked about was before Margarito. Obviously he was rocked by Margarito and Pacquiao since he was knocked out by them.

I think he was hurt against Shane a lot more than he showed but his legs never looked wobbly, nor did they from what I remember against Judah. There's a big difference in being rocked and just hit very hard to me. If someone's knee's buckle or they're on wobbly legs, that's being rocked. I can't recall an instance of this against:

Quintana, Urkal, Judah, Mosley, or Gomez (before Margarito).

His knees buckled and he did a lil chicken dance against judah, but recovered quickly.

Against Mosley he was pretty hurt and obviously clottey was pretty close to finishing him off at a couple moments mid-fight.

So yeah, he's been rocked/wobbled at 147 (besides margarito).

that's just part of who cotto is.

We were talking pre-margarito fight because the whole thing was supposedly his trouble with making weight. It appeared to be legit until he just flat out got beat up by someone. I thought with the shots he took from Mosley he would've been knocked out but held up pretty well though he looked hurt and fought going away like he was hurt. He looked way worse against Torres for instance.

Don't forget how Chop-Chop had him down and almost out. Cotto was never all that good to me. His best win was a bullshit New York PR day parade decision against Mosley in a fight where dude ran for the last three rounds. Cotto is fun to watch because he has no defense and can punch a little bit,but he's not all that good just HBO hype.

Part of Cotto's biggest appeal has been his vulnerability...well to me at least. And almost all of the time, he's battled back and won on sheer heart.

I'm not gonna sit and argue about the Mosley fight, because it was clear to me that he outboxed Mosley and won the fight.

I want to ask you since you seem to shit on everyone under the sun...

Who impresses you? (Besides Floyd of course)

^ I would say as far as opposition faced, his resume is even better. He's fought better opposition at both 140 & 147. Plus, he's been much more active. Sure he has the losses, but then again the Margarito loss will always have an (*) next to it, and the other was against the best fighter on the planet. No shame in that.

LOL, Cotto resume being better then Mayweathers people stop it. Some fighter I like Bradley, Alexander, B-Hop, The Marquez brothers, Adamek, Kirkland, Mosley, and the list goes on. I like boxers that actually fight fighter that's in their prime. Most of your so-called stars of today only beat up on washed-up damaged name fighters to build up a resume. I don't understand how people can call someone great when the so-call great fighter loses all his big fights or has never fought another prime elite fighter. Cotto is 1-2 in his 3 big fights that 33% in his big fights. Pac-man who has never fought a prime elite fighter, he only fights fighters that has been KO'ed and very badly beating in there last fights (Hatton, Cotto, and now Stone-Hands). I love boxing I just hate dicking riding fans that can't face facts. That's why I love the 168lb super 6, and the 140lb fights coming up with Khan vs Maidana, and Bradley vs Alexander, because all of these fights are prime fighters vs prime fighters. We will know who's the best in those divisions. FYI, I'm so damn sick of hearing about Manny's training camp, trying to hype this fight up.

damn bigface, you deserved to be slapped for all that nonsense!

You shit on Cotto and Pacquiao, yet state you like Bradley and Alexander who lets face it, haven't really fought anyone yet themselves. Alexander beat a OUT OF PRIME Junior Witter, Urango who isn't that good and basically lost to Kotelnik. Bradley fought over the hill nate campbell, Junior Witter and good wins over Peterson and Holt.

EVERY FIGHTER is going to fight guys past their prime, that's part of boxing man. The young take the place of the old. Everyone has done it even mayweather (Gatti, Sharmba Mitchell, Augustus, Manfredy, etc.).

But that is besides the point. As for Cotto, he's fought the best man, in their primes. Take a look at his opponents:

Yuri Foreman 28-0 WBA 154 pound champ (prime)
Pacquiao - pound 4 pound king (prime)
Clottey - IBF WW champ (prime)
Margarito - Top WW (prime)
Shane Mosley - Top WW (a little past his best days but hadn't lost in years)
Zab Judah - Top WW but was coming off loss to Floyd
Oktay Urkal - decent win, won 5 in a row
Carlos Quintana - 23-0 (prime)
Paul Malignaggi - 21-0 (prime)
Branco - 36-1 (prime)
Ricardo Torres - 28-0 (prime)
DeMarcus Corley - 29-3 (decent opponent)
Randall Bailey - (prime, didn't lose for several years after cotto, hardest p4p puncher)
Kelson Pinto - 21-0
Lovemore N'dou - (prime)
Carlos Maussa - 17-0

I mean there are 13 champions in that list right there. What more do you want out of a fighter? Cotto represents everything good about boxing and what every fighter should do. Never did cotto back out of a fight. Never did cotto complain about money. Never did cotto take extended vacations to avoid a fighter, he simply fought whoever was put in front of him. Sure, he lost two pacquiao & margarito but how are you going to knock him for that? With that kind of resume, again, that shits all over most boxers today.

I'm not saying he has a better resume then floyd, that's debatable, but Cotto definitely has one of the best resumes out of any active fighter today. Only Pacquiao, Hopkins maybe floyd and a couple others have better and really that's it.

First off ain't nobody going to slap me other then my mommy or my pops. Your listing of that weak ass resume of Cotto's makes me laugh even more.

Yuri Foreman-This dude is a fucking bum.
Pacquiao - Got his ass beat in this fight.
Clottey - Got his ass beat in this fight.
Margarito - Got his ass beat in this fight.
Shane Mosley - Ran the last three rounds.
Zab Judah - Stop it with your I give Cotto credit for beating him but not Mayweather.
Oktay Urkal - Come on now this dude sucks
Carlos Quintana - This dude is a bum, KOed by Cotto, P-Williams, and Berto.
Paul Malignaggi - Stop it, this dude hits like a girl.
Branco - Really this dude sucks.
Ricardo Torres - Didn't Holt KO this dude in 1round.
DeMarcus Corley - Didn't Mayweather beat up the prime Chop-Chop
Randall Bailey - Passed his prime
Kelson Pinto - 21-0 -Who???
Lovemore N'dou - (prime)-Didn't Mayweather beat this dude up 1st or was it his brother?

Mayweather's Resume of Prime fighters.

DeMarcus Corley
Phillip N'Dou
Jose Luis Castillo
Carlos Hernandez
Diego Corrales
Genaro Hernandez
Ricky Hatton

Now the people I left off the list. (This is still a better list then Cotto's resume)

Juan Marquez
Arturo Gatti
Zab Zudah
Carlos Baldomir
De la Hoya
Angel Manfredy
Jesus Chavez

Now please stop it with that his resume is better then Mayweather's BS. Mayweather has fought and won the keyword 'WON' against far better fighters then this HBO hype job. Now slap yourself.. 2-0-Sixx we still cool. LOL..

I'm not even going to stoop to your level and discredit every single one of mayweathers wins, which I could easily do. I could easily say Gatti was way way past his prime coming off countless wars including the Ward trilogy. I'm not even going to say baldomir had 10 losses. I'm not even going to mention that oscar was past his best days and Zab was coming off a loss to Baldimor of all people. I wont even speak about how Marquez moved up TWO weight classes to fight floyd and floyd didn't even bother to make weight which resulted in floyd paying marquez $600,000 in penalties. I'm not going to mention that hatton was fighting above his best weight class or that diego corrales had the flu. I refuse to mention that Castillo actually BEAT floyd mayweather. No, I will not go down to your level and mention Phillip N'Dou was a bum. No I wont stoop to that level, I refuse...

Now please stop it with that his resume is better then Mayweather's BS. Mayweather has fought and won the keyword 'WON' against far better fighters then this HBO hype job. Now slap yourself.. 2-0-Sixx we still cool. LOL..
Listen genius, I clearly said that it's debatable whether or not cotto has a better resume then floyd's, I never said he did. What I did say is that Cotto has one of the best resumes in boxing right know besides a couple guys like pacquiao, bernard hopkins and maybe a couple others. You cannot name more than 5-6 guys who have a better resume than cotto.

You also stated that "you like fighters who fight guys in their primes" and i PROVED without a doubt that Cotto has fought many guys in their primes. Much more than the guys you listed (alexander, bradley, kirkland, etc.).
