i think some of yall are forgetting we also listen to different genres of music and hip hop is widely known as a borrower of genres...since rap has been created its been partnered with everything from electroclash to rock to heavy metal...now i dont know about yall but sometimes i listen to music where a bitch is singing or talking (for instance: cat power, janis joplin, the 4,5,6's, etc etc) so kreyshawn rapping aint really gonna bother me if i can put up with a whiny white bitch crooning in another genre, rap being my favorite genre.
thats why id listen to kreyshawns album...sure im not gonna find it an instant classic and its probably not gonna replace me playing lil b songs which basically repeat suck my dick ho over and over...
lemme put it to you like this:
1) kreyshawn sees lil b rap
2) kreyshawn says 'hey i can make a living out of this too?'
3)kreyshawn puts album out
what i mean is....she technically is the female lil b...with all the songs b has about sexually disrespecting women (this is what ive heard from women) kreyshawn seems to be a natural progression of lil b's style, a woman in the same lane who might be somewhat empowered feminist wise. a artist who can say she isnt bothered by lil b's chants of 'suck my dick ho' and can swim in the same uncharted waters which is hipster rap.
expect to see this more, which makes me wonder, did lil b do something he didnt expect to do to the rap game, or was he just seeking change?
as a rap/hip hop 'businessman" i find this cycle interesting and all i can say to you is that im watching with both eyes open cuz all this ='s $$$ to me....word to strech
