Looping Curtis Mayfield’s most familiar bars is a move a world away from the ‘most talented producer in Hiphop’ label that Kanye would like many to tag him with.
MOST of today's hip hop beats are sampled...95 % of those are straight loops...

completely wrong; Kanye ain't even your typical mainstream rapper, he ain't on the same shit that everybody from Dipset to G-Unit is; he is much closer to backpackers than mainstream rappers; and I respect backpackers although I don't listen to backpack much; but this doesn't prevent him from being wack, it is his production style that I don't like and I will never like

I actually liked a lot of the mainstream rappers back in the days; damn, I even liked Skee-Lo back in '95 (I admit I was 10 years old so it's understandable but I still don't think he wasn't that wack)

I don't like today's mainstream rappers because all they care about is the single; they aim at getting as much airplay with a smash hit plus one or two more singles; these singles are usually some boo-boo bubble-gum rap designed to fit the taste of the masses; because the single is what is important, very little attention is paid to what else is in the album and that's why you get one or two good tracks (which are usually not good for me because they are actually pop) and about 15 filler tracks which ain't good for anybody

isn't this wack???

you can't say it isn't

I agree with you...to an extent....look at DL4....that Laffy Taffy shit is just plain laughable...but to compare a group like DL4 to Kanye...not THAT is laughable....

At least Kanye has a message in his songs...at least his MUSIC...is different and refreshing...even if it IS samples...hes turnin those samples and makin them interesting to listen to....

The radio aint no different than it was 10 years ago....people were STILL makin wack records for the radio....with a few gems here and there...and on top of ALL that..there were MUCH more "one hit wonders" 10 years ago....becuase the demand for hip-hop is at its peak at the moment...and you can tell cause EVERYONE and they MOMMA think they can rap...all it takes is a catchy beat and a catchy hook....the "rapping" doesnt even matter anymore....in other words...it used to be about the lunchmeat and cheese...now its all about the bread and mayonaise....and its pretty sad...

But...to knock a guy like Kanye is ridiculous....when they are so many watered down artist you SHOULD put before him as far as "hating mainstream artists" go....

Remember...Public Enemy had a message too...

My homey Mali used to stay one 79th and May
One of my best friends from back in the day
Down the street form Calumet a school full of stones
He nicknamed me K-Rock so they'd leave me alone
Bulls jacket with his hat broke way off
Walk around the mall with his radio face off
Plus he had the spinner from his Dayton's in his hand
Keys in his hand reason again to let you know he's the man
Back when we rocked Alesis he had dreams of Caprice's
Drove by the teachers even more by police's
How he get that cash today his father passed away
Left him with a little somthin 16 he was stuntin
Al B Sure nigga with the hair all wavy
Hit lakeshore girls go all crazy
Hit the freeway go at least bout 80
Boned so much that summer even had him a baby
See back back then then if you had a car
You were the Chi town version of Baby
And I was just a virgin a baby
One of the reasons I looked up to him crazy
I used to love to play my demo tape when the system yanked
Felt like I was almost signed when the shit got cranked
We'll take a Saturday and just circle the mall
They had the Lincoln's and Aurora's we were hurting them all
With the girls a lot of flirting involved
But dawg fuck all that flirting I'm trying to get in some draws
So put me on with these hoes homey's
He said don't rush to get grown drive slow homey
Drive slow homie

50 aint fuckin with that there

They say people in your life are seasons,
And anything that happen is for a reason,
And niggas guns a clappin and keep to squeezin',
And Gran (Grandma) keep prayin' and keep believin',
And Jesus and one day that ya see him,
Till they walk in his footsteps and try to be him,
The devil is alive I feel him breathin',
Claimin' money is the key so keep on dreamin',
And put them lottery tickets just to tease us,
My aunt Pam can't put those cigarettes down,
Now my lil cousin smokin those cigarettes now,
His job trying to claim that he too niggerish now,
Is it cuz his skin blacker than licorice now?
I can't figure it out...
Im Stickin around....

50 cant fuck with that either, dogg u just talkin out the side of yur neck right now.

50 automatically wins for having a decent flow, but i agree 50 is bullshit now too

These cats always escape reality when they rhyme
That's why they write about bricks and only dealt wit dimes
Leave it to them, and they say they got a fast car
Nascar, truck wit a crash bar, and TV's in the dash, pa
See 'em in the five wit stock rims, I just laugh, pa
I catch stunts when I ain't tryin
I ain't lyin, I sip Dom P til I split up
Keep my rent split up
Get outta line, I get you hit up [Wooo!]
Now if you say my name in your rhyme, you better watch what you say
You'll get carried away, you could get shot and carried away
Now here's a list of MC's that can kill you in eight bars:
50, umm Jay-Z and Nas
I'ma say this shit now and never again
We ain't buddies, we ain't partners and we damn sure ain't friends
The games you playin, you'll get killed like that
Actin like you all hard, you ain't built like that
See me when you see me nigga, one (one)

shits all over Kanye's ghostwriters
