LOL... did you have a hard time telling her no? Yeah this fight is going to be one of this years best. We'll see what happens... I think fighting at a heavier weight favors Pavlik though.

yeah, a little bit. I told her we can do something on thur/friday, and she knows I'm semi-obsessed with boxing and football, so it came as no surprise, haha.

And yeah, I would agree that the heavier weight favors pavlik a bit, still my gut feeling is taylor is going to win. But, taylor did make it clear before pavlik he was going to move up in weight because he was having a hard time making weight, so idk, maybe he will actually have more power/energy.

It's a shaky prediction though, because there is absolutely no way to tell how a fighter will respond immediately after getting ko'd. He wont even know until he takes the first big punch or two, which will inevitably land. He could end up like Roy jones who got KO'd by Glen Johnson after he got KO'd by Tarver. But I personally think losing to Pavlik may have been the best thing to happen to Taylor, call it a wake up call to get his shit straight.

IM STICKING WITH TAYLOR CUZ REALLY I NEVER SEEN HIM FIGHT SO WELL LIKE HE DID AGAINST PAVLIK. REALLY I THINK ALL HE WAS MISSING WAS A KNOCK OUT BLOW BUT THE EXTRA WEIGHT COULD DEFINITELY HELP HIM.

Taylor getting knocked out was rock bottom for him IMO. His last few performances were lackluster, and he needed something like that. I think I voted for a Taylor decision...I just think he's going to pull it out, granted he comes in, in good shape..he gassed pretty bad their first fight. Could be the making of another great boxing trilogy.

Hmm, I really think Taylor is going to win this fight. The question is, how?

I found these odds, +395 Taylor wins inside 12 rounds.

Or in other words, he'll win by KO/TKO or ref stops the fight. That's really good odds, so if I drop a bill I'd get $395 back.

Thoughts? The odds are even a little better if he wins by decision.

Aight.. I gotta change my pick. After watching the countdown last night I think Pavlik is going to win this fight by KO. If Pavlik's right hand knocked him down at a lighter weight what's going to happen at a heavier weight? I think Pavlik is going to win this fight. He's a pretty down to earth guy not cocky but very confident. I don't know about his counterpunching skills but that right hand of his is powerful... kind of reminds me of Hearns' right hand. So I am officially changing my pick to Pavlik.

How is Taylor going to win? It better be a KO because he can't stay up for 12 rounds against Kelly IMO. Taylor isn't a KO kind of guy. Yes, he almost had Kelly knocked out in the first fight, but it was because Kelly was being stupid and dropping his gloves. I don't think he makes that mistake again.

Kelly 5th round KO.

I like Pavlik. I was going for him the first time.

This time around though, I just think Taylor is going to take it (which in the long run is good because I'd love a trilogy).

I think Taylor is going to KO Pavlik. My reasoning:

1). Taylor is the better boxer.
2). Taylor is more athletic and faster.
3). Taylor nearly KO'd Pavlik in the 2nd round, then gassed himself out. Yes, Pavlik sorta stuck his head out, but he was getting fuckin nailed immediately prior to that, which caused him to stick his head out and be cocky. I think it was going to happen regardless. That was a like a tiny, split second thing, that punch was going to hit him regardless.
4). Taylor went back to his OG trainer and got rid of Manny, whom he never really clicked with.
5). I personally think he lacked motivation for a while and losing to pavlik just might be the best thing for him at the moment. Call it a wake up call.
6). I don't think the extra weight will be much of a factor because Taylor made it clear b4 Pavlik he was going to move up to SMW because he was having trouble making MW.

Now, the only problem with this is that Taylor got KO'd (obviously), and the thing is, no one really knows how a fighter will respond immediately after, not even Taylor knows until he takes that first solid punch or two. Roy Jones got KO'd again after he got KO'd the first time, but on the other hand lots of fighters respond perfectly fine. It's an uncertainty. That's the main thing that makes me nervous about betting on the fight.

I'm leaning towards Taylor, but not by a lot. I'd say it's about 55/45 in his favor. Picking Pavlik is the safe bet, no doubt, but I just have a feeling...

Yeah... I know I am pretty much still off. Trying to get back on the right track... my heart says Taylor but my mind says Pavlik. Gotta go with my brain... the last time I went against my brain something bad happened...

Pavlik by KO. I don't know about that bet 06 to tell you the truth. It's risky and Jermaine will be looking for a knockout too. Good luck!

yeah its risky, but I just figure if Taylor wins he's going to win by KO. The odds are great. I mean, I personally think this fight is just about 50/50, either guy could win, but betting on pavlik wont win me shit for money cuz he's the favorite. idk, i'm still thinking it over...

Kelly can be hurt and probably KOd but I doubt Taylor is the guy to do it. He blew the best opporunity he had to do so. He can outpoint Kelly but I would hate to see what his face would look like after 12 rounds of pounding from the Ghost. Ouuuccchhh!!!

I don't think Jermaine can last 12 rounds with Pavlik (not too many people can). His only chance is KO. Kelly's been knocked down like 4 or 5 times in his career, so he can go down. The only question is if Taylor has enough to keep him down. It's going to be a war

Anyone can get knocked down and anyone can get dropped if they get hit right. Pavliks has gotten up from everyone of his knockdowns to come back and win.
