The problem with your comparrison is this: YOUR ARTICLE IS OVER A YEAR OLD AND WAS ONLY ABOUT HIS ROOKIE YEAR. IT DID NOT INCLUDE HIS PROGRESS THIS YEAR. That was made after only one year of play by Alex. I did not say Gore was the 2nd best RB in the league after his first season, you fuckin moron. You find me an article that was written after this past season and then you can talk.

If Alex Smith wasn't worth the #1 overall pick who was? The only other player you can make an arguement for is Shawne Merriman who went #12. But at the time we didn't need another LB half as bad as a starting QB. Maybe DeMarcus Ware or Lofa Tatupu cuze they've been pretty good, but still Alex Smith was who we need. It was either him or Aaron Rodgers. So I would really like some people to respond to who would have been a better choice for the 9ers. Frank Gore deserved to go #1 but we got him in the 3rd so ya know.

ALLOW ME TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT. ALEX SMITH IS NOT A BUST. HE'S DEVELOPING INTO A DECENT QB AND HE'S LUCKY AS HELL TO HAVE FRANK GORE TAKING HIM UP AND DOWN THE FIELD.

THE DRAFT THAT ALEX SMITH CAME FROM WAS AN EXTREMELY WEAK ONE, MINUS A COUPLE DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH (MERRIMAN, GORE, ETC.) THE NINERS DIDN'T HAVE MUCH OF A CHOICE. THEY NEEDED A QB AND HE WAS THE BEST THAT WAS AVAILABLE. ALEX SMITH IS MOST LIKELY NOT A FRANCHISE QB. THAT MUCH IS PRETTY CERTAIN.

Dude you're so annoying. No one cares what you think. You're opinion to the Sports forum is irrelevant by now. I don't know how half these dudes are able to stand your ass. You are easy to make fun of however, but much mroe annoying than anything else.

I'll keep you updated as to where Aaron Brooks is playing, so you can go that teams Brooks jersey, posters, stickers, hats, warm-ups, etc.

I agree with you S1 but in my opinion they fucked up by hot keeping Norv Turner. He is great as an offensive mind and at molding young quarterbacks. He had Smith playing a lot better this passed season.
