It is part of the Catholic faith to have multiple children, they obviously all don't have 9 kids but generally Mexicans have large families with many children. You have resorted to personal attacks because you are uninformed and have nothing constructive to say, and you have added nothing to this conversation. The only reason im posting on this thread is that ive spent 2 weeks researching this topic for a college paper and therefore i feel like i have a basis for my argument.

i guarantee the vast majority of Mexicans are Catholic. Again you are just sounding ignorant every time you talk, you should learn how to have an adult conversation without resorting to insults. No one can take your argument seriously when you talk like that.

All I know is that no one complains when Haitian refugees get deported back to Haiti from Florida. What gives them the right, but not Haitians? Is it because Mexicans used to "own" California? Actually, California belonged to Native Americans, "Mexican" is a nationality and/or culture, rights by lineage are not recognized in this country, if that's the case black people should have 40 Acres, a Mule, a house, Cash, and a plane trip back to Africa. But no, I guess only Mexicans were victims of past atrocities. First off, the title of the thread is misleading. Illegal immigrants aren't demanding shit, their supporters are. So don't get in an uproar thinking someone 'illegal' is just up and demanding shit.

Secondly, for those of you who actually advocate sending "them" home...do you have any idea how much that would cost????

You're so willing to accept these numbers of how much "they" cost and contribute, yet couldn't even begin to do the math on how much "more" or "less" money that would be in your pocket if they did bounce.

Did i ever say i have anything against Mexicans? no i said i have something against illegal immigrants it is just a matter of fact that the majority of illegal immigrants are Mexican. I worked with Mexicans who came here legally for 2 years and i gained the utmost respect for how hard they work and provide for their families, which i believe i said on one my first posts in this thread. Ive been trying to have a real conversation but you chose to attack me personally. Don't twist what i said to attack all people of Mexican decent. What is white perspective? My opinion is worth less because im white? Im not looking at this issue as a white person im looking at it as a American citizen, there is no racism in my argument.

And, both of you are intelligent enough to know why the US Govt is more accepting of 'illegal' Mexicans and Cubans as opposed to Haitians.

And, you're right about some Chicanos 'conveniently' claiming to be Native. Yet, if you've never been around them or the movement they get the concept from, then how can you make a fair judgement?

The return to indigenous roots had to do with reclaiming a lost/denegrated/marginalized identity, not a mass attempt to reclaim "stolen" lands.

My mother is A Native from Mexico, she knows the struggles of being indigenous just as much as A Native from the states.. and California did belong to Mexico.. it was taken away from Mexico just like other states in the southwest.. i live in a hood that i would say is 40% African American.....30% Latino (half of which are illegal so that is 15% of the hood) 10% Caucasian and 20% Mixed Ethnicity......that small 15% of illegal immigrants are mostly mexican and some cubans.....they contribute to the economy on all levels and benifit from it as well....some use acquired identities to work legally or even obtain welfare and medical benefits.....many of them run their own business operations without a business license (street vendors like the snowcone guy, tamale lady, kid with flowers, dude with bootlegs.....) they arent harming anyone but they aren't paying taxes and making a good profit......a lot of them are drug addicts and alcoholics so the local cracc/crystal dealer and the liquor store benefits.......but then we lose out if they are arrested and our tax dollars go to paying for their stay in jail and deportation to mexico only for them to come right bacc next month......we who pay taxes are paying for a lot of the services they are abusing and the procedures that are in place to prevent and deal with their criminal offenses....i myself and my family have to deal with the criminal activities 1st hand when a drunk paisa is outside yelling and acting stupid and hitting my car and i have to go out there and beat him down......when a drugged up paisa tries to molest or rape a girl and we have to run him off the blocc......when they successfully rape a victim and pass on diseases....when they attract whores and drug dealers into the hood cuz they are willing to spend that hard worked money on drugs and pussy.....

they contribute to the exonomy no doubt but they cause a lot of harm as well....there are good ones and a lot of bad ones....but something needs to be done about it......i think they should have a program to bring them up to work and provide a safe and more secure housing for them to make sure they arent running rampant on the streets causing problems or committing crimes..they could have some sort of camp and if they show good behavior work hard and apply for a visa they can earn the right to enter the us as a real citizen......we have enough siccos and weirdos and murderers that are born here and we have to deal with already we don't need the next countries'......
