The only thing that disappoints me is a sad expression from one of my seeds. Barack Obama is just a man. He's not putting a roof over my head, providing me an income, helping me with transportation, or covering my debts. Nope that's all on me. Bandwagons are for sports teams, I'm playing the game of life.
It's common knowledge that politicians are known to lie, everybody knows this. So what happens is that the voters end up complaining about the politicians betraying them, but as I said it's common knowledge that politicians lie. But the voters don't want to accept this to be true they just want to believe what they wanted to hear.
The non-voters get it.
And then the voters blame the non-voters. But the voters aren't taking responsibility - they just go to the politicians and say "promise me what I want to hear and I'll vote for you" Then they blame the politicians for lying and the non-voters for not voting.
The voters are not thinking and therefore how can they expect there to be coherency in the system.

I can see that happening as well. I ask myself everyday; "When did the Capitalist Society become the "Stimulus" (welfare) Society"? Welfare, Bailout, Stimulus, is all the same to me. Somebody getting something for nothing. Placing the mistakes of one people, onto the responsiblilty of others. I'm not responsible for Wall St, Car Companies, Unwed mothers, or Criminals. I'm responsible for myself, so I don't expect to get nothing from nobody but MYSELF. I also don't think I am responsible for any other person's mistakes.
Before I had to do a sidebar with the "Lords of the Siccnes", you had the only reaction that I can truly relate too. Because in a weird way, I would like to see the backlash and reaction from society, IF, something tragic happened to President Obama. The man represents hope to MILLIONS of people around the WORLD. If you kill the hope of MILLIONS of people, how do you think they will react? What would you do if someone killed your hope?

After reading though this thread, mocheezkc dodged every single challenging questions posed to him and regressed to throwing insults about post counts and speculating about what people do off the internet. I expect him to start giving well thought out logical answers about the same time he sees the change he expects from Obama.

i didn't vote for barry O because it was obvious he was meant to win (he even has his own logo) they used the mcain/palin ticket as a scare tactic to get the non racist republicans on obamas side.I don't like obama because at the end of the day he was still for the charade of democracy that the american government has become,it's just meant to SEEM like you have a choice with voting but the two party system is broken and ineffective and is just their to divide the country so we quarrel with each other instead of being concerned about the real issues in america (drug war,school system,federal monetary system) but thank you for assuming i'm a racist because i didn't participate in the sham or like the new scape goat they're using, it really speaks volumes about you

The fact that you are trying to reduce this to a race issue betrays you: you are obviously of the outmoded ass mindset that America's issues at large and specifically minority issues still boil down to the classic 'they hatin on us' situation, in which all problems are basically reduced to: A. They hatin on us, or B. They not hatin on us
To you, Obama's election means B, but our reaction on this board is A, in which case the reason we are not on board with the Obama camp is the same reason MLK marched, Jim Crow laws were enacted, etc.
So essentially, in defending Obama you are defending all black people, and for that I commend you.
