I used to use 808 kicks a loooooooooooooong time ago before Lil Jon gave them mainstream popularity.
Once Lil Jon came with them hits, mufuckas started to emulate the most easily reproduceable and recognizable element of those hits (the 808 drums) thinking they were going to make hits just like Lil Jon. Fools played that shit out... quickly.
It's crazy because mufuckas is STILL on that 808 drum kit + techno synth lead beat hype. That shit went out with the A-Town Stomp. Get out of here with that shit... And this is bay area "producers" I'm talkin about.

808s aren't just kicks. It's a whole drum kit. Kick (punchy type kick and long boooom kick), snares, claps, cymbals, hi-hats, toms, etc...
Mufuckas is usin that 808 snare/clap combo to death too. And you don't have to use an 808 kick to get that BoOoOoM. These "producers" nowadays don't know no better though.

Im gonna have to comment on this one since im on the album. That diss track got Dutch a distribution deal for "The real white rapper comp" which is number one on the disti charts and thats just pre orders cuz the street release date isnt til April 24th. Baller Status, HBO, Mtv, Source Mag and Allhiphop have all been involved with his opinion on the white rapper show. I would say that this means someone is listening...
