During drills I was on the medical response team, put people on strechers, triage, applied tournaquits and shit. Its a long process to become a firefighter i've been told and you have a couple of classes you have to take. I'd love to do it though I could work on it while i have a normal job a little at a time, is there like a cut off age? I'm 27 right now so I'm probably still pretty good and I'm in decent shape
there was a 40 year old dude in my class that had kids and smoked a pack of cigs every break.
really depends where you go.. a community college academy or the fire department's training, im doing mine at College of San Mateo.

its really not that much, its better if you volunteer while going to these classes too.. if youre a volunteer for 3 years you can get your certificate or become a full time firefighter.
