Keep in mind that all 3 of the fighters Shane lost to had great jabs. Floyd hardly throws jabs. So we'll see if his footwork is enough to keep Shane off of him.

Shane needs to keep Floyd on the ropes. Ironically, the key to beating Floyd Mayweather is also the jab.

Can't wait for this fight!

I'm gonna be in Vegas for fight weekend, hopefully I can score some cheap tickets from a desperate ticket broker on Friday or even Fight Night.

Watched the 24/7 and Floyd made a good point at the beginning of it in regards to other folks worrying about him. He's right people need to worry about themselves and their own situations before they judge him.

As for the fight, Floyd better win this fight after all the capping he's done so far on Sugar. He got on his green suit and his jehri curl, so Floyd better win this fight.

Shane looks pretty good to me. He seems pretty focused and I think he's taking Floyd trash talking pretty personal and he's planning on making Floyd pay once they fight. On a side note, he seems like a cool dude outside of the ring. It was cool to see him chillin' with fans, signing autographs, taking pictures and stuff like that.

I think Floyd will win a very close fight but I wouldn't be surprised or mad if Sugar gave Floyd his first L.

what did ya'll think about the olympic drug tests? Seems like a whole lot involved there, like mosley said I can see why other fighters wouldn't want to go through all that.

Overall it was one of the best 24/7's in a while, which lately seemed to have been kinda boring. They stepped it up with this one, lots of good songs too.

Naazim is the man. Can't wait to see the inevitable Floyd Mayweather Sr. talking shit with Jack mosley.

I think that Olympic style drug testing is more than I expected. You gotta give a certain amount of blood and pp, I thought it was one or the other, not both at the sametime.

I agree with Mosely, there is a lot involved in that drug testing stuff. I would hate to have to go through that to tell you the truth but I would it if I wanted the fight bad enough. It's good to see that Mosely is just shrugging it off, that tells me that he really wants to fight Mayweather by all means and he's not going to let some drug test get in the way even if it is a pain.

If I was a fighter I would want some kind of cut off period though. They took a lot of blood, I can see why Manny says it would weaken him.

I agree tony.

The only problem with the OST is they cannot have cutoff dates, they cant and wont make any type of deals for any athlete or sport, it has to be their way 100%. Which sucks because if mayweather really is going to use OST from here on out, no way pac will do all that, not without a cutoff date.

Seriously man, I thought that they would just show up to take blood and keep it movin'... they had to hang around until they could get a certain amount of piss and it looked like they took a lot of blood (or more than I expected). At least they did it after training though. Again, I would hate to have to go through that, but I would if the money was right and if I really wanted the fight. That's why I like Shane for doing this... I like how he just shrugged it off like it's nothing.

^^Right, I had people telling me it was just a tiny prick of the finger, that was four vials full of blood I saw.

yeah and that was only the first one. They are random so they can come at 2am and wake your ass up, any time 24/7 7 days a week.

I've read last week that mosley has been tested at least 5 times already.

That's why I like Shane for doing this... I like how he just shrugged it off like it's nothing.
Yeah he should get some props, but at the same time he didn't have much of a choice of the matter. I know when Judah wanted additional tests mosley told him to fuck off and he fought someone else instead, so even with Shane who's a great guy it comes down to the money.

They were taking 20mL of blood. Not a small amount by any means.

Shane would've agreed to get sperm sucked out of him at this point though. The process does seem very long, and I'm sure its expensive.

I don't see it being a reality, across the board in professional boxing, mostly because promoters for much smaller cards and lesser known pro fighters aren't going to be willing to pay for the testing, and I doubt the state athletic commissions are going to fund it.

So if its only for select fights, then it does nothing for the sport. Which is why the whole thing is pretty stupid, IMO.

I agree, there is no way in hell Olympic Testing becomes the norm in boxing, it's impossible. It wouldn't even happen in NBA, NFL, or MLB either. There are literally hundreds of fights each month across the globe, it would cost way too much money & resources.

Hopefully this can make individual boxing commissions more strict though. Honestly, we don't need Olympic Style testing, this isn't the Olympics! Floyd isn't fighting with headgear on and a point system for a Gold Medal.

All we need is a random drug test set up by the commission with some sort of reasonable cutoff date.

fyi, this is a screen shot from 24/7 mosley's first blood test, that's a lot more than a "pin prick" they were talking about.
