Mayweather fans are going to love this:

Mayweather is back for the long haul. "Signed deal for five fights".

A source with direct knowledge of his deal with Golden Boy Promotions told ESPN.com that Mayweather's deal is for five fights. - Dan Rafael

Ellerbe made Mayweather's plans after Marquez a bit more clear.

"I can tell you this right now that we're gonna line all these guys up, whoever the so-called best guys are, whoever they say they, and we'll line up," he said. "Obviously, he can't fight them all in one night. But one by one, so whoever it is. He left the best, he's coming back the best. All roads lead to Floyd Mayweather."

"Mosley had a good win with [Antonio] Margarito," Ellerbe said. "We can't fight him right now, but he's one of the top fighters. We recognize he's one of the top fighters. He can get it too."

Tickes for this fight are mostly private.
I was on ticket master hitting refresh from 9:59 until it let me in and the cheapest seats available to the public are $600 a piece. Next is $1000.

These guys are crazy thinking people are going to pay that kind of money. Then the $150 ones are going to be scalped for $250 and up. The funny thing is, that a bunch of "I only watch big PPV Events...let me bring my escort...I'm only going to show up for the main event" douche bags are going to swoop up all the tickets.

I dont mind spending a grand or 1500 on the entire trip, but 3 or 4 grand? I'll pass on that one...

$600 cheapest to the public? I rather buy $600 worth of toothpaste.

Cheapest I could find are 325 and up.
To me thats 650, because I have to get 2 tickets...not rolling by myself.
Plus two plane tickets, plus hotel stay.

I have the money, I just dont think this fight is worth that much.
I was going to go for my bday (which actualy falls on the 25th of July), but now I'll figure something else out to do.

^^fuck that I wouldn't go. There is a good possibility the fight will be a snooze fest, I mean two counter punchers going at it usually ends in boring or semi-boring 12 round decision. If I were in the position to go to a fight, I'd rather see Cotto vs Clottey. Cheaper and guaranteed to be entertaining.

Or for shits & giggles I'd see Kermit Cintron vs Angulo. You just know something crazy is going to happen, albeit a spectacular knockout or kermit is going to fuckin be mentally broken down and he'll do some funny shit

haha at the Cintron comment.
I think he might cry again:

nah but seriously, cintron is one of my favorite fighters to watch right now, win, lose or draw his fights are classics. You gotta love his last fight with Martinez when Martinez knocked him down with that perfect shot to the chin, Cintron to the ref, "he head butted me, he head butted me!!" lmao

I think they did that Tecate rebate for the DLH vs Mayweather fight as well.

Ya, I'm not going to Vegas. I agree with the concept of it could be a boring fight, etc. Not trying to down play it because I'm not going. I would go if the ticket prices weren't media frenzy ridiculous.

I highly anticipate a Mayweather v Pacman, could be one of the best fights in years.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if this fight was a PPV bust. And LOL @ them thinking people are going to shell out that kind of money for this.

As great of a fighter he is, Marquez' is a virtual unknown to non-boxing fans.

I think now you're going to see whether or not Floyd really is the sport's cash cow, as he claims.

His two biggest fights were with fighters who already have massive followings of their own, and before that, his fights rarely did well as far as sales.

It should sell alright, at least 400k I thinking. There is UFC 100 or whatever a week or so before so maybe that might effect it too (assuming some of those people who order the UFC that like boxing may pass on Floyd since they just bout UFC).

And if it does poor, then that's fine, maybe it will humble floyd (lol) or at least bring him back closer to reality and Pacquiao can have better negotiations. 50/50 split.

They just released a ton of $300 seats at ticket master. I probably would have bought them in the heat of the moment when the tickets went on sale, but these pull they ticket holding tactics that not only piss me off, but give me time to realize how this fight is not worth $300 a pop.

When some $150 seats show up due to them not bieng able to sell out and realizing that people don't have money to throw around, I'll swoop up 2. It's in the middle of the summer and most American's are going to be enjoying the outdoors with their families (saving money), not flying to the desert to watch a fight.

Glad to see them start releasing cheaper tickets though...

Breaking News: Roger Mayweather arrested on strangulation charges

Metro Police arrested Roger Mayweather, Floyd Mayweather Junior's uncle, Sunday on charges of coercion with force and strangulation. Roger Mayweather, head trainer for Las Vegas boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., considered by some to be the best pound for pound boxer in the world is now facing some serious charges.

According to the report, Roger Mayweather attacked one of his former boxers, a woman named Melissa St. Vil.

St. Vil was training under Roger Mayweather about three months ago, but then she decided to train under someone else. According to the police report since she terminated her agreement with Roger he has been harassing her and following her around.

Then Sunday he reportedly showed up at her apartment. St. Vil says Roger grabbed and hit her several times in her ribs. He then wrapped his hands around her throat nearly causing her to pass out. She grabbed a small lamp and hit him over the head to defend herself.

When police arrived they say St. Vil was spitting coughing and spitting blood. Roger Mayweather was arrested and charged with coercion with force and battery strangulation.

We are working to get comment from Mayweather's camp.
