edit: That overhand right tyson throws at 2:58 is sweet. Better if it landed, though..

There are one punch knock outs now. Not knockdowns like in FN4 actual KO's.

I'll be playing tonight, but I've been reading on the forums last couple days (UK people got the demo first and some people in the US) seeing what people have been saying. Everything for the most part is positive. But yes there is one punch knockouts now. And it's not stupid like that UFC game where you'll just randomly get KO'd, it doesn't happen nearly as often as it shouldn't in a boxing game, but for example I read one guy as pacquiao was fighting cotto and was winning all the rounds easily, then with like 30 seconds left lunged in stupidly with chin out and cotto landed perfect shot on the chin, pac goes down knock out cold game over. So there is very good logic to it. You wont get KO'd by some silly half assed punch, only legit devastating shots

Here is an example someone posted of a one punch KO which I imagine was similar to what I read about (tyson lunging in):

So shit like that definately should make the game more realistic and fun. Also read there are still good one punch knock downs and one punch body knock downs as well

i have no idea. you need two joysticks though not one like in that picture.

plus the controls IMO are better using the default layout. You can change it to buttons but flicking the stick in the direction of the punch feels more natural
Ok so you use one stick to move and one stick to throw punches? If that is the case it wouldn't be able to work. Is the demo out yet for us? I was on the EA forum last night reading a lot about the game and there are a lot of pros and cons they were talking about. However, a lot of it I didn't understand because I've been removed from this series for so long.

yeah one stick to move one to punch.

Keep in mind a lot of those guys on the forum are ABSOLUTELY NUTS lol so I'll reserve judgment (supposed to be available today 5pm). I know most gamers are picky, but damn, it seems the fight night fans are the pickiest of all. They go crazy over such minor shit like wrong color trunks, or a stat being slightly off, shoes, etc. etc etc.

I was actually reading shit like trunks and stats, but some of them were talking about things I never heard of and could understand because I'm not up to date with the series. However, I did see a couple of peeps mention the sound of the punches and they weren't happy.

Lets see. Triangle was clinch. Square was push. And circle i think was illegal blow. I don't think the d-pad did anything, or if it did it moved the fighter (like the left joystick).

You can of course change to a button layout.

This is copy & pasted from fight night round 4 regarding buttons, not sure if this is accurate or was updated (to me this shit seems way more complicated them simply flicking the stick to mimic your punch):
