I finally just picked up fnr4 for ps3. I might get at you once I get a couple practice sessions in. I'm sure you'll mash on me though. I haven't played in like 8 months

I haven't played online with the ps3 yet but mine was straight with the xbox so I'm sure it's probably good. I have Cox internet and it's like 15Mb down so it should be good I would think.

I forgot how much fun playing this game online was. My first fight I lost a split decision to some dude. IT was the first time I remember seeing a decision where one judge had someone winning every round in the last 6 and the other 2 judges had it like 4-2 for me and the other was 3-3 in the last 6. Teddy Atlas said "this was a bad decision" lol

I don't think so. I think they just wanted to show how brutal it can get.

Also, in the transcript I posted fights can be stopped by the ref even if there is no cut. Meaning if you're taking a ton of punishment the ref can stop it on a TKO just like in real life. So that leads me to think not all fights will be bloody like that. Again I think they just wanted to show us how they stepped up their blood/damage game up.

I had a WAR yesterday. I was using old school Foreman and he was using Tyson (as well as I've seen anyone use him so far). I had no stamina and lost 8 rounds on all the scorecards and he hurt me with 1:30 left but i stayed on my feet. I pulled a haymaker uppercut that landed and knocked him down. Knocked him down one more time and won with less than a minute left. I felt like Chavez vs Taylor

Champion doesn't come out til March. If you're short on bread, I'd just wait. If you can drop the 15 bones, it's worth it. Much more fun online. I've certainly spent $15 on worse stuff like 95% of the dates I went on when I was single.

i always see it new for $20.. so yeah, its gotta be around 15 used. definitely worth picking up, even if the next game comes out in march. there are going to be alot of control changes in Champion, & i dont know how i feel about all of them. for one, no more going through the motions of the punches to pull uppercuts & hooks, etc. in champion you'll simply flick the stick in a direction to unleash a punch. personally i enjoyed the way it was set up in round 4..

my point being though, i think 4 will still be worth owning once you have Champion.

i actually liked the controls in 4. My only complaint was the hook. I could never get it quite right. Hopefully they still have it in the controls for the new one but if not, oh well.

they should have an option to turn stamina off. if people wanna that "real" feel. ur not gonna get it from a video game. i like to punch and see blood. all they r doin is takin the fun out of it.
