360 and PC users WILL experience the lag problem. I've been on the Beth forum reading and some code heads have popped up and explained what all of this means, how it can be fixed, how it won't be fixed, etc. And it should be noted that when they sent out review copies that they only sent 360 and PC versions.

They knew the game was broken but they put money and units before the consumer and wanted to hit 11/11/11. So for that, I'm tempted to just download the game 11 times (yeah, I know i'd only need to do it once for 360 or PC), burn on disk 11 times and give it to 11 people who have modded 360's or who want the PC version.

If I had a capable PC, I'd take one of those copies breh.

lol how could they fuck up so bad again?

fallout new vegas was an awesome game, but i got the shit way waaayy after it was released and there was still freezing issues and memory issues. and looking at the list of bugs it had to have patched out early on was scary

oh well i guess its a mixed blessing to have to wait for skyrim on the ps3. i lose out on the early on hype but when i finally get the game it'll be cheaper and hopefully the major bugs will be worked out

New Vegas was made by Obsidian, not Bethesda. Which I guess just shows that there's a problem with the engine. When their new Creation engine was announced everyone thought the bugs and lag would be gone. When they said it was an updated version of the old Gamebryo engine people predicted it would have the same problems.

if this shit only effects ps3 who gives a fuck? the ps3 is better right? (fan boy fight)

this game is dope enjoy it for what it is.

almost every game needs to be patched. even top sellers like cod.

edit. this game has never been unplayable (xbox) so i dont see what the fuss is about.

with a huge game like this u get x amount of testers and thier job is to find the bugs. if they cant find the bugs it gets patched.

How bad? You can't really know until you play it yourself. I've been playing for hours and hours and I haven't been affected by any bugs....other than jumping in between 2 big ass rocks and getting stuck. The game is not unplayable

oh... well the article made it sound like people get 30 - 40 + hours deep then their game gets corrupt and theres no coming back from it. im just going off of what the article said. article was basically saying the game is broken for a lot of people

Bethesda didn't develop New Vegas, Obsidian did.

well damn i get it, lol. i wont make the same mistake. i was just going off of what the article said, specifically this excerpt:

Yes, I know that launch glitches are something we accept these days but Bethesda are a special case. Their bugs aren’t just graphical issues or matchmaking problems. They’re cases of products fundamentally not being fit for sale. Check out the bug list for Fallout 3. And the one for New Vegas. They're as hilarious as they are terrifying.

But Bethesda keep getting away with it because consumers keep letting them. “Bugs? Oh that’s just the way Bethesda games are” Well [censored] that.
inb4someone else tells me fallout isnt bethesda

actually it is bethesda, they are the ones that published it, therefore they are responsible for releasing it in such shoddy condition

Go to the Bethesda forum like I did and read what the users for PS3 are saying. Make sure you read what the code heads are saying also because this simply isn't a case of "Oh theres a bug, lets patch it." It's a different issue because it ties back in to how the game was made, the engine used and how they used the memory for the hardware they developed on.

After you do that, watch the vids. Digitital Foundry, Kotaku, Joystiq, Lens of Truth, IGN, etc, they've all written about this shit and once again, it isn't about the size of the game. It's about the game engine and what the game is doing with the hardware, specifically the memory.

So 360 and PC users guess whats going to happen to you eventually? You're going to suffer the same fate as PS3 users only yours will come later due to the way the memory is handled on those platforms (read the Bethesda forums and you'll see many pc and 360 users are starting to experience it.)
