How can a thief kill you, they are one of the easiest enemies in the game. Make sure you spend your perk points wisely and have great equipment on. Also put all of your points in stamina (unless your a mage) so you don't run out of energy while fighting or you can use it to sprint away quickly and heal up.

I'm playing this game on master.

I ment all those enemy's spawned all within a min or so. I killed the rAndom thief , went up the snowy mountian, a dragon appeared above me, kept walking and a tiger appeared, turned to run the other direction and those ice dragons appeared.

When I died and replayed it, more random shit kept appearing, I ended up going a total different way just to avoid all that bullshit.

I'm on vacation eating pot treats and whatnot. This game kinda pisses me off bc it's not supposed to be linear but the quests and ESP the dungeons are hella linear. The battling leaves much to be desired. I killed dragons and ice trolls based on a "glitch" in the map rather than my reflexes. I've played oblivion and fallout 3 on pc so I'm familiars itch what they're doing. The voice overs are repetitive. I was looking for a nugget of philosophy or mythology but it doesn't seem to delve there. My bro said he was gonna read all the books he found to 'immerse' himself into the story but I ain't feeling it. Saw some review of dark souls, demon souls sequel that looked interesting.

The game is very linear.. I don't think any of the dialogue choices you make make any difference.. But then again it's not a Bio Ware game so i wasn't really expecting big choices.. The dialogue itself is pretty boring, i mean most of the sub quests are unmemorable save for a few handfull out of the hundred..

I like the dungeons and the battle system but those aspects of the game are just based on opinion.. I actually havnt even played the game this week at all, been too busy back on Gears.. I really don't have a desire to hop on Skyrim and beat it right away, but im sure sometime this month ill get to it since im already like 70% done with the game.

As for Dark Souls! I have that game.. It's great fun.. But there is NO story.. Maybe only 3-4 cut scenes in the game that don't explain a story but more so show you the enviroment before a boss fight or after-words.. The game is all about grinding the same guys over and over for XP and upgradeing you're stats/weapons.. If you don't like grinding and killing the same mob 100 times over hopeing for good items to drop then you won't like this game.. The game is met to be grinded and you're suppose to do the same thing/run the same dungeon 50+ times over to get the needed XP.. It's not like Skyrim or any RPG at all.. It's hard and the only fun you get out of it is the thrill of killing a big boss that was impossible to you only 2 days when you first faced him.

If you played Demon Souls then you might know what you're getting into.. If you havn't then i suggest you do some research and make sure you're up for the challange and that you're not looking for you're typical RPG with a deep storyline and lots of dialogue.. Because Dark Souls is pretty much just hack n slash + upgrade character.

This game is broken. I don't see how it has perfect reviews. It's a wet dream for nerds and D&D players but the industry needs to be honest. If this were any other game it would have garnered poor reviews because of bugs, glitches, etc. I mean they patched the game and now dragons are flying backwards!

its bethesda, they get props for their shit before people even get to see a trailer

its a good game, it deserves all the ratings its getting....after all the shit gets fixed and we can play thru with no headache

besides that its a beautiful game, althought i wish the DX11 was utilized much better...on pc, its incredible to play but regardless the bugs and glitches make me wanna spin me top off and hold it in my lap

either way i agree with your comment, nerds and dorks are too happy bout this game, its collecting dust on my desktop til the updates are brought to the table

Considering the amount of content that was developed in this game you should expect bugs. And I don't see how its nerdy, it has the same full world exploration appeal of the GTA series and look how well that does.

See, heres the problem, while there is a lot of content, that shouldn't excuse the developers from making a game that it so buggy that it can't be fixed. Are any of you following whats going on with the PS3 version of the game? The guy who was a lead on Fallout said the game is going to require a "large time commitment" to fix. The way others and myself read, we take it to mean it may never be fixed.

Heres more if you want to read it:

http://www.computerandvideogames.co...ire-large-time-commitment-claims-fallout-dev/

And this game mostly does appeal to nerds and D&D players. It's not a problem for me, because I like rpg's (not so much as the western ones rooted in elves and dragons, but I'll play them.) The point I'm trying to make however is the fact that legman point out. This company and their games get parise upon praise even though they constantly release broken games., and who is doing the praising?

If this were from a smaller company the game would have been dinged and wouldn't have all the awards and high ratings. However, because it's Bethesda and because it appeals to a demographic that is very vocal, the problems get overlooked.

I'm sorry, but I'm not spending my money on a game that is broken and causes my console to act like its possessed or has turrets.

First of all, Bethesda isn't just some company that waltzed their way into the gaming industry and had a easy journey to get to where they are at today. They never once went against their dignity and sold out their products (by dumbing it down) just to be successful like other developers, that alone should be respectable. Which may be a huge reason why they are so successful especially in todays industry, people are starting to realize "Hey, I'm tired of playing the same shit every week" and want something they can immerse themselves in that will provide plenty of bang for their buck.

These problems will be fixed in due time, regardless if its from the companies or fans of the game who do remarkable work for the modding community. It happens man, there is alot of variables in this game that causes flaws. Look at DX:HR which is much smaller but there was bugs that caused missions to become unbeatable, if anything that is inexcusable and I seen you give nothing but praise for that game.

I don't think that applies to any company in the game. Well...maybe Sony and MS (as it relates to gaming) but for everyone else, I'd say they had it bad.

But to what end and at who's expense? Yes, they provide you with something that gives you bang for your buck but how long will it hold up once your save file goes over 20mb?

These problems will be fixed in due time,
In due time? The problems shouldn't be there period. They knew what type of limitations the PS3 and 360 had when they developed for it. And "in due time" means what exactly when some places are offering refunds for the game now?

regardless if its from the companies or fans of the game who do remarkable work for the modding community.
Fam, there is no modding community for the console versions.

It happens man, there is alot of variables in this game that causes flaws. Look at DX:HR which is much smaller but there was bugs that caused missions to become unbeatable, if anything that is inexcusable and I seen you give nothing but praise for that game.
DX:HR is extremely flawed in several areas. The framerate dips in the hub, the hud is useless, most of the augs are useless, weapons aren't balanced, the cutscenes are not high quality, etc. However, I've yet to hear any website devoted to gaming drawing attention to DXHR for its performance issues. However, the same can't be said for Bethesda and Skyrim. They tried to fix the game and instead it caused dragons to fly backwards, caused the game to crash and now we have what is known as "rimlag."

Once again, the flaws in the game are mainly due to how they failed to utilize the shit they were working with.
