The Thing Is the Niners are actually Making Moves, while the Raiders are keeping the Same Formula of disaster.

Niners

Keeping the HC
Signing a Great OC, Who will be able to Utilize each WR we Have, finally Use VD the way he's capable of playing, and Their Running Game, WHAT MORE CAN YOU SAY?
Stabilizing and anchoring the Defense, Great LB Core and Solid Secondary
Has Arguably the Best ST in the NFL, Arguable being KEY
Actually sign quality and Proven Players
Hired a GM that knows what he's doing

NO ONE GIVES A SHIT!

chree thinks the whiners have the best team in the nfl at every position. I don't know bout the whole 7 year 70 mill contract he did get owned last year gotta wait to see if this is a good move or not
most raider fans here THINK he did get overpaid, but the talent is there. is he worth 10 mil per? no. is he a talented cb? yes. he maybe over rated and yes he does give up plays but fuck it man, puttin him on the other side of our REAL #1 corner aso on paper looks like a KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLER cb tandem. now lets just wait and see how it all pans out!

LOL.....where to begin?

I can't argue with "the 9ers are making moves" because I'm not paying attention to the moves their making. I've heard nothing major aside from your new OC, which is a really great pick up......except that y'all have no QB (and don't give me that crap about the cfl/nfl europe/wherever he's from guy that noones heard of) now this will be good for STD....I mean VD if he can stay healthy.....he's been in the league how many years and missed how many games? y'all picked up a good #2 receiver also, but where's your #1? how did your o-line improve which was supposedly the cause of your terrible offense last year? and how is all that supposed to be good for Gore? Martz is a passing guy. what defensive stabilizing and anchoring are you talking about? I mean, yeah, last year your defense was doing pretty well, especially willis, but that all sounds eerily reminiscent of the Raiders team that went 2-14. who are the quality and proven players? (again, I haven't been paying attention.....all I've heard of was bryant johnson)

you're telling me that signing a superbowl winning saftey, a corner that would be #1 on almost any other team, a real #1 receiver and making sure proven players on the team like fargas & asomugha are staying is not improvement?

Exactly Hall is only 24 years old and a 2 time probowler and is regarded as one of the top cb's in the league. The niners payed similar money for clements who is almost 30 and didn't play to his potential last season.

The worse news is the Niners keeping Mike Nolan. He was supposed to be a defensive specialist that came over from Baltimore but ever since Mike Nolan has been head coach your defense has been rated at the bottom of the league ever since. The pass defense even gave up more yards after signing Clements... LOL

A good defense is also a product of a good offense. Good offense = rest for defense. Bad offense = defense staying on the field longer. Thank you genius.

Still no Raiders contract for Hall
Oakland may end discussion if no deal by Thursday

By Jim Trotter, SI.com

The Raiders continued to run into roadblocks in their quest to finalize a trade for Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall.

It was thought that when Hall arrived in Oakland on Wednesday it would be to sign a contract that would make him the league's highest-paid cornerback and clear the way for him to be sent to the Raiders for second- and sixth-round draft choices.

But after spending 4½ hours with owner Al Davis, Hall emerged Wednesday night without an agreement. And if a deal is not consummated Thursday, it's possible the Raiders might end the talks and move on, a club source said Wednesday night.

Hall has expressed a desire to join the Raiders during his talks with many of the team's core players. But his representatives and the team are said to be at odds over the structure of the contract.

Hall, who would team with Nnamdi Asomugha in Oakland to form one of the league's top cornerback tandems, has one year remaining on his rookie contract and it's highly unlikely any team would trade for him without first coming to terms on a new multiyear contract.

Hall remained in Oakland overnight and is scheduled to talk with club officials again Thursday.

The Raiders capped an extraordinary free agent signing (and spending) period Thursday afternoon, finalizing a seven-year contract for cornerback DeAngelo Hall that will pay the former Falcons Pro Bowler $70 million total and $24.5 guaranteed. Furthermore, the Raider's organization also signed free agent waterboy Tim Harris to a 4 year contract which is believed to be worth up to $12 million with a $3 million signing bonus.
