I HAVE A CONDITION CALLED SLEEP PARALYSIS....A RARE OCCURANCE DURING REM SLEEP THAT WAKES UP YOUR MIND WHILE YOUR BODY IS PARALYZED....APPARENTLY THERE IS A SORT OF "SWITCH" IN THE AREA THAT YOUR SPINAL CORD MEETS THE BRAIN WHICH PARALYZES YOUR BODY SO THAT YOU DONT ACT OUT YOUR DREAMS IN REAL LIFE....WELL FOR A LOT OF FOLKS THIS SWITCH CAN FUCC UP AND THEY DO ACT OUT IN THE FORM OF SLEEP WALKING.....SLEEP PARALYSIS IS THE OPPOSITE WHERE YOUR MIND WAKES UP (I CAN SEE AND HEAR) BUT YOUR BODY IS STILL FROZEN(CANT MOVE OR SPEAK).....WHEN THIS HAPPENS I TEND TO SEE FIGURES IN THE ROOM WITH ME....USUALLY DARK SHADOWY TYPES.....I HEAR SOUNDS RANGIN FROM WIERD LAUGHS & WHISPERS TO LARGE CROWDS SCREAMIN......IT CAN BE A FRIGHTNING EXPERIANCE SOMETIMES AND OTHER TIMES IT HAS BEEN SORT OF PEACEFULL....THE EXPERIANCE IS SAID TO BE RARE AND EVERYONE MAY HAVE AN EPISODE AT LEAST ONCE IN THIER LIFE BUT I MUGT BE A SPECIAL CASE CUZ I HAVE IT AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH AT THE MINIMAL AND HAVE HAD TIMES WHERE I GET IT 2-3 TIMES A NIGHT EVERY NIGHT FOR WEEKS ON END.....AN EVEN RARER AND STRANGE OCCURANCE ASSOCIATED WITH IT IS AN OUT OF BODY EXPERIANCE....I HAVE FOUND MYSELF TRYIN TO GET UP OR TRYIN TO WALK ACCROSS THE ROOM ONLY TO LOOK BACC AT THE BED AND SEE MY BODY STILL LAYIN THERE ASLEEP.....

WELL ANYWAYS...I WAS READING UP ON IT ONLINE AND A GUY WHO ALSO HAS THESE EPISODES ON A REGULAR BASIS CLAIMS TO HAVE TAKEN CONTROL OVER HIS OUT OF BODY EXPERICANCES AND HAS TRAVELED AROUND HIS NEIGHBORHOOD FOR HOURS WHILE IN THIS STATE....HE TRIES TO EXPLAIN HOW HE ACHIEVES THIS.....SO AFTER READING THIS I HAVE BEEN PRACTICING MYSELF WHEN I HAVE AN EPISODE AND THE CRAZIEST SHIT HAPPENED A FEW WEEKS AGO.....I FOUND MYSELF FALLIN OFF THE BED AND REALIZED I HAD LEFT MY BODY....SO WITHOUT TRYIN TOO HARD TO CONCENTRATE ON MOVIN MYSELF PHYSICALLY I SORT OF CRAWLED/FLOATED TOWARDS MY COMPUTER DESK.....I ALWAYS TURN THE COMP OFF BEFORE BED.....I MANAGED TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH THE COMPUTER AND I COULD FEEL IT....I PRESSED THE POWER BUTTON IN AND SAW IT LIGHT UP....I TRIED TO MOVE OUT OF THE ROOM BUT I LOST CONCENTRATION AND ENDED UP WAKIN UP IN MY BED.....AND WHEN I LOOKED AT THE COMPUTER SURE ENOUGH IT WAS STARTING UP......

ITS SOME CRAZY SHIT TO BELEIVE BUT ITS THE TRUTH AND I WONDER HOW MUCH ONE CAN REALLY DO IF THEY WERE TO MASTER THIS ABILITY.....ITS KINDA SCARY THINKIN OF THE POSSIBILTY OF PEOPLE FLOATIN AROUND IN A SPIRIT FORM BEING ABLE TO PHYSICALLY TOUCH THINGS....
about a year ago, i experienced something very similar to this. except i wasnt moving at all. i was awake, but my body was frozen stiff. my eyes were rolling around in my head, and my teeth were grinding together so hard i thought my teeth were all going to fall out. i couldnt stop grinding them. and i tried as hard as i could to open my mouth, but i couldnt do it. i was jus frozen. it was as if my jaw was wired shut. this proceeded for about 30-40 seconds. it was very scary, and happened 3 times over a span of about 10 days or so. it hasnt happened since....

TROLL no offense, but if he was referring to heaven, was he a Christian?
no offense taken homie... yeah he was christian, the last few months of his life he was really makin an effort to be an active member of his church..
STOCKTONE said:
And if he was, what do you make of an afterlife?
i believe that the afterlife will materialize to the person on how they are expecting it to be.. if someone kills them self in a fit of utter despair thinking they are going to be in a hell.. they will be... if someone dies in a car accident on their way home from a sermon, they will find themself sitting on a cloud, however, even tho its the projection of what they were expecting, they are all one... the emanating energy circling the globe...
STOCKTONE said:
Third, if he was a Christian, is that a testament to anything pertaining to a god?
i can't be certain.. even tho i slept a full 8 hours that night the dream lasted no more then a few seconds...

Last, if he was a Christian, and he spoke to you after he died read this
Ecclesiastes chapter 9:5-6

5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Just a notion to hold on.
can you translate that for me homie?

Basically what is says is that, when a person dies, there soul/spirit will not remember what they did in this life, the life in flesh. So if you ever come across your homie, it's most likely a demon or an unclean spirit, well same thing, so be careful. Especially since you do magic. Stay up homie.

ahh ok.. ive always been told though when i was younger that when u die and go to heaven that you got to flip through a book of life that reflects the life you lived or something along those lines... does it really say that anywhere in the bible?

im pretty unorthadox when it comes to my beliefs.. i dont really pray or communicate with any gods per-se which throws me out of the true wiccan loop, but i do believe in a duality of both female and male in all human beings which is part of a wiccan belief.. i have more of a belief that our earth is dictating the cycle of life, death and rejuvination.. their is an axis mundi (spirit world) in which we dwell until our memory fades in the minds of those who remembered us... its kind of complicated to explain but it makes perfect sense too me..lol

Yeah Bro Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Simon homie, somewhere along those lines, but it's after you're judgment.

I can understand, I've been around magicians, agnostics and atheists more time then I'm around Christ Followers, it wouldn't be to difficult for me to understand. Stay up homeboy

hmm, just foundt his..
In relation to the previous discussion about the synchronistic mirroring of physical and psychic, for a few days after I had the dream, the same side of my face was acheing and I wondered if it was about to sprout the dream crystals! The new mythology that our age is birthing, then, is essentially holistic; in part, this means that all phenomena - dreams and outer events, matter and spirit, science and mysticism, dark and light, conscious and unconscious - will increasingly be seen not as separate dualistic opposites, with one inevitably privileged over the other, but instead as mythic movements and moments inscribed between the poles, or ends of a continuous and limitless light spectrum of consciousness, along which psyche is implicit in matter, matter in psyche; in which it is no longer a question of which is mirroring which, but more a search for the meaning and sometimes wordless message that underscores the whole.
I have never in my life felt that 'sleep paralysis' but as a younger kid, i was an avid sleepwalker and talker. I would have full conversations about food n shit while being completely asleep lol.. Sometimes i would wake up while i was lookin at the food closet, and i'd be like 'wtf am i doing?" then grab some oreos n go back to bed lol.
One time, my mom woke up(she wakes really easily) to the sound of the doorknob being shaken, i guess i was in the middle of unlocking the door when she found me and guided me back to my room, i didnt' wake up until the morning and she told me, it was a trip to hear that, some donny darko type of shit.

I used to have this haunting lucidic dream/state of consciousness about my mom and her friend being part of a pin ball machine and i was the pinball, because they were always teasing and were pretty catty and always whining and complaining about shit. they would throw me back and forth while i would repeat in my head what they bitched to me about that day, in the same voice n shit too... it was really odd.

btw about the person dying n shit, well this girl in my class told this story about how she has this reoccuring dream about her cousin who killed herself as an adolescent, and that she comes to her and shows her like where she killed herself and all these different things in her life that made her want to leave. She says its like she is just talking with her. That gives me the chills and i don't give a fuck what scientific explanation you got for that, i think its very miraculous.

I still talk in my sleep a lot. Girlfriends have told me some funny things, for example not too long ago apparently I grabbed my cell phone that was next to the bed when I was sleeping and I started talking on it - sayin shit like "yeah ok. Sure thing. Right on." etc, but the phone was off and I was completely asleep! Also I've been interrogated being asked like "who is she?! you cheatin on me?" And of course, I'm not awake so my answers might not be 100% accurate and may represent whatever the hell is going on in my dreams.

I also noticed though when I was doing lots of opiates and various drugs it increased the amount of my sleep talking.

hm yeah thats funny cause it only happens when i am sober during that time of my life.
I remember now, i would wake myself up "talking" on the phone, but i wasn't really i would have already hung up w/ whoeever i was talkin to n said goodnight, n then i'd wake up sayin "oh yeah, really thats cool mmhm" lol then i'd regain consciousness, n be like, wtf? lol my roommate also was startled when i did a couple times... i also would scream and have crazy nightmares as a kid, i forgot about that. lol.
my brother was really horrible to me and i would scream "I FUCKING HATE YOU, I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!" and scream his name n shit. lol
he'd wake up thinking i was pissed n i was tryin to keep him up on purpose lol.

but it was just pent up anger i guess lol

but yeah i always say full sentences and paragraphs n 'thoughts' n my whole family is used to it, if they hear me talkin lol.

OOOH one time, when iw as hella young, i was sleepin on a reclining chair(yeah no couch that year) and i started screamin n shouting, and like convulsing on the chair, and i guess i was sitting up by then cause i moved so violently, then my dad's gf wasn't used to me sleeping over, and she came out w/ a baseball bat hella about to kick ass, and was tryin to ask me where the person was, cause my eyes were open too lol then she said i straight up completely STOPPED screaming n moving and was all sitting back with my eeyes closed all peaceful n shit lol

I learned about lucid dreaming a while back and have tried it many, many times.

I've had a real complete lucid dream once, but i didn't do anything cool, i just walked around my neighboor hood, but it felt amazing..

The rest of the time, I know I'm dreaming but it feels like a movie and I'm just kinda watching it all happen, can't fully take it over

Cool shit though, human brain is amazing

wow this is an OLD ass thread but to add to it..
I noticed I have more lucid dreams when I am more tired.
I have also noticed when my head is super clear and I have been keeping up on meditation I have more of them, And to contrast when I have been thinking about something alot.

Things are going good for me though right now and I have been having more like 3-4 that I remember a week

How do you realize you are in a dream though? I have only done it once or twice in my life and it was when I was real young, like 5 or 6. Is there some type of method or technique to realizing you are in a dream and then controlling it?

For me personally I realize that I am dreaming when I notice that I did not wake up out of my own bed and am just suddenly experiencing something new...
Also when I am at a place that feels like home but is not home, when I rapidly transport or skip to other scence in my dream without fluidity... things like that... your life is not like a movie with scene cuts and what not it is fluid and everything in your environment is where the same or very similar... so when you are dreaming you should notice "not everything adds up" make sense??

alot of my dreams are lucid. ill know its a dream and enjoy it because i know its not real although sometimes i wish it was. but i used to question whether i really dreamt something or it really happened. usually when i had a lucid dream i wake up more tired.
