although it seems stupid to do something like that, your a grown man and dont seem to need pops around, and if hes ok with doin another small stretch just so you guys can live comfortably...then thats a man whos hand id appreciate shaking and this world needs more people like him (although i hope hes not ending up in prison over a crime which leaves people hurt or dead)

i dont justify what hes doin, but i give that man props if what hes doin is nothin but a thang to him...most men crumble at the idea of losing freedom once in life...to do it over and over and willing for family, no matter what the outcome, is another thing

see i'm the one nervous he would go to jail and he wasnt. and someone on here said you cant go to jail for it so now i'm good. if he was gonna go to to jail i would just give him all the money back to pay off his debt. but if it means sacrificing his credit (which can never be good anyway) then it doesnt bother me. his lawyer said he's gonna try to decrease it down to 60k but it's a long shot. my dad doesnt even give shit he was crackin jokes about it and everything.

This is bullshit, they can't charge you child support if you are in prison because its based on income. I doubt your x con father is legit enough or dumb enough to put $200k in a bank. The only thing they could do is freeze the account until u all go to court and then it will go to your mother most likely in payments

UPDATE FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED. some of that money owed was from when he was in prison so they're dropping that. also my moms disablity came up which she recently got so apparently they're deducting from that aswell granted it has nothing to do with this shit. we'll still be seeing roughly 150,000 of this money and the attorney said we'd see it in 2 months. whether that means the checks start rolling in in 2 months or if we get a lump sum i dunno.

this shit's all types of crazy and makes me realize NEVER take short cuts when it comes to govt. shit. also my dad's lawyer says he has a great chance of knocking down what he owes the bank by ALOT and he wont be seeing any jail time.

Then hit the Money Tree, cash that 100,000 refund check and get up out the state. i wouldnt doubt thats what he'll do. he's pretty good at doing that type of shit so i'd see it happening. i mean he probably opened the bank account for shit like this to happen on purpose. i found it weird that he did in the 1st place since he NEVER had one before. you might be on to something.

i'm on neither side at all. dont want my pops to go to jail and i want my mom to get some money since she deserves it. as long as my dad dont go to jail then i want my mom to have what she can get. i'm just trying to give everyone a story to rad pretty much and letting everyone know whats happening. if it was up to me i would've wished for the entire 250k but he was in jail for some of it and my mom collected disability so i was stating why it was deducted thats all.
