Fantastic fight, terrible post fight interview. I can't put too much into what a mans says after a fight like that. Great to see this for a guy like Salido, he's been in as tough as possible, dropped 11 fights and never stopped trucking.

Lopez seemed to put it all in the 9th and had absolutely nothing left to start the 10th.

EDIT: Just listened to the post fight again apparently there's going to be no apology here as Juanma complained to the commission prior to the fight about the referee getting the fight. Shame..

he might not apologize, but the fact is that any decent ref would have stopped the fight after that knockdown. he can cry & complain all he wants, but that was a legit finish. & he had the judges in his corner anyway, all he had to do to win was avoid a concussion.

this fight makes up for all the bullshit in boxing last year, & has re-piqued my interest in the sport. has me re-watching arce-vasquez on youtube, another great mex/PR title fight from 2011.

2-0 you got a DL link to this fight yet???

Juanma got beat up. It was the fight of year so far. I have no idea what fight the judges were watching, because Salido was beating the brakes off Juanma. Juanma only won two rounds the whole fight. If the Ref didn't stop the fight, Salido would've killed Lopez infront of his kids. Juanma has no excuse for getting his ass kicked he was in great shape, dudes problem is that he has no defensive skills at all.

great fight, loved it! Salido came to kill. I was pulling for Juanma, he looked a shell of himself could'nt really pull the trigger had a gang of heart tho. I think he should take some time off away from boxing, about a year and work on his skills with a new trainer. Juanma looked like all those wars hes been in has caught up to him(looked like he was drunk in the ring lol). Salido aint no joke! looking forward to his next fight

Juanma Issues Public Apology To Referee Roberto Ramirez

Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez
- "For my part I apologize to Roberto (Ramirez) for comments I had made after the fight with Salido. Roberto is one of the best referees in the world, he did a great job, and I appreciate that I was protected because I was definitely hurt. Everyone knows how much I trained for this fight, all of the sacrifices that I made, because I wanted to give a big win to Puerto Rico and perhaps the frustration of failing in my country [caused the comments], and again I want to praise Roberto for his work. "

"I also want to give credit to Orlando Salido for his victory and thank him for coming to my country to give me a rematch. It was a great fight, everyone could see that, and I want to thank the people of Puerto Rico for all the support they gave me at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente, and to all those who saw the fight on television. Please know that I still have things to do in boxing and soon we'll be back to put the name of Puerto Rico up again."

Did anyone see Juanma bite Salido in the 9th rounds? I saw it on the replay of the fight. Juanma is a dirty ass fighter holding behind the head and hitting, using his elbows all fight, and hitting on the break.

Brook won easy. Knocked hatton down in the mid rounds. looked better against hatton than canelo did and canelo fought hatton at 154 pounds which is way too big for hatton.

hopefully Brook gets a top ranked guy next. Maybe mike jones or the berto/ortiz winner, but I doubt the latter this soon.

Yeah Macklin was definitely winning up till about the 9th round. He started slowing down and Martinez did what any champ should do and finished him off.

Surprising that Macklin was doing so well and actually winning the fight, at least to me. Seemed like martinez was very uncomfortable till about the 8th round or so.
