Its time they get a new hbo crew. Half the time at least they blabber on and on about god knows what and the rest of the time they spend talking about why a fighter isn't dominating. Very little time actually spent calling the fights. That's why I like the show time crew they call the fight as its happening and they do their best to make it exciting. Much more positive. Also compare the HBO crew to ufc. The ufc guys always sound super entertained even if the fight sucks while the HBO crew are some grumpy old men. They need some new blood.

I agree, it's extremely dangerous to wait so long to make those kinds of adjustments he sort of did the same with Pavlik. He won the beginning, Pavlik made a change dropped Martinez and swept the middle rounds and it took him a while to adjust to that. It's gonna catch up to him if he can't get the guy out of there.

Thats why its always best when Kellerman and Roy Jones are doing a fight together even though Kellerman tends to kiss Jones's ass

I don't mind Kellerman much, and I'm not a big fan of Jones. I've heard him one too many times cite someone's faith as a reason for what's happening in the ring, or what's going to happen, and that's just ridiculous. I try to zone out on their commentary most of the time anyway..

Tarver would be my vote for the best fighter/commentator doing it right now.

Now people are seeing what Floyd has always talked about. Those guys especially Merchant are terrible period. They do need some new blood or sumthin. I do like Steward though. He keeps it real. Got Em!!

I don't care about merchants interviews I find them funny most of the time I'm talking about what's going on during the fight, that's annoying. I've thought that for a long time.

That's the worst man. He's done that a few times, totally unprofessional. But other than that he can be on point. Hopkins is the guy I'd love not just because he's my favorite fighter but he's commentated a few times before on ESPN and he was great at it, tons of insight.

For shits & giggles they should have hopkins, jones & tarver all commentating on a fight haha

Did you ever watch this? Just finished watching it a little while ago. Proksa got cut in the 2nd from a headbutt and started looking desperate as early as the 6th round swinging one wide punch at a time and was shut down mostly by Hope's pressure and jab. Good show by Hope, especially with the Sky Sports broadcasters calling him Kerry No Hope before the fight started.

The cut didn't seem to bother him much. He was winning early and won some rounds big and even hurt Hope after the cut. I don't like calling any fight a fluke, if Proska stepped into the ring not ready that's his business I can only judge what I watched. Proska already has that off balance type of style and the jab really seemed to really bother him and he clearly tired out way earlier than he should've.
