the fight was pretty exciting but i think cuz there was no defense. Reminded me some what of a Ward/Gatti fight. I didnt catch it till the last couple rounds though when Golovkin started really landing the harder shots

yeah it was exciting Golovkin came on strong his work rate was impressive. Ouma was kinda fucking him up though the first part of the fight landing some big shots and Golovkin was looking sloppy and not that strong but he certainly came on big in the last couple rounds. Good win for him, I would like to see him try to clean up his offense and use some head movement or something he's pretty squared up and easy to hit, I don't remember seeing him look that open from what I've seen from him in the past and this guy has a crazy good amateur record KO'ing Lucien Bute and beating guys like Andre Dirrell, and some other good names as well.

Will be interesting to see how he progresses, he's 29 years old so he's got to make a big move soon.

And another tough fight for Ouma feel bad for the guy.

hes definitely looking good tonight but put him in the ring with someone that can throw back. Rhodes doesnt have the workrate or movement to really even make it much of a fight. Needless to say doesn't throw combinations and no handspeed whatsoever. Only question is was this a handpicked opponent for Alvarez?

what a stupid stoppage. Rhodes wasnt even hurt. The refs in Alvarezs camps pockets? God it would look so much worse if the fight went to decisioin

I think he was hurt his legs bobbled just prior I think it was a mercy stoppage more than anything kinda like pac vs cotto but yeah I really wanted to see a knock out and he should have let it go at least a few more punches

Can't stress enough how dope of a card this is:

June 25
At St. Louis (HBO): Devon Alexander vs. Lucas Matthysse, 12 rounds, junior welterweights; Tavoris Cloud vs. Yusaf Mack, 12 rounds, for Cloud's IBF light heavyweight title; Bermane Stivern vs. Ray Austin, 12 rounds, WBC heavyweight eliminator; Cornelius "K9" Bundrage vs. Sechew Powell, rematch, 12 rounds, for Bundrage's IBF junior middleweight title; David McNemar vs. Ryan Coyne, 12 rounds

Matthysse is a damn good fighter and he arguably beat Zab Judah who later admitted Matthysse was one of the hardest punchers he's ever faced. Alexander is really going to have his hands full.

And my boy Tavoris Cloud never fails to entertain, should be exciting while it lasts.

The only thing that sucks is that the third fight HBO will show is Bermane Stivern vs. Ray Austin which no one gives a fuck about, what could be the best fight on the card "K9" Bundrage vs. Sechew Powell rematch will not be shown, but I'm hoping it will be streamed on don kings website.
