Miranda's fallen so low to become a guy that's cannon fodder for an unproven prospect rebounding off his first loss. It's funny only a few years ago he was a guy that seemed to terrify Taylor and his people and was picked to blow Pavlik away in an eliminator.

yep, I remember Bernard Hopkins said he was passing the torch to Miranda lmao.

I still like Miranda though, sucks he's diminished so much since then. He definitely beat Abraham the first fight, then after the Pavlik fight his chin just went to shit.
So are you saying that because of the damage Miranda took over the years has made him lose a step or two?? But if I say the same thing about Cotto and Paul Williams I don't know what I'm talking about.. LOL.. I just find the double standard so funny.

here we go again... for starters, I disagreed when you said Cotto is a shot fighter. There is a big difference from "losing a step or two" and being "shot." Cotto is not shot, but yes he has lost a step or two.

Miranda on the other-hand has been brutally KO'd by Pavlik, Abraham and Lucian Bute. The best opponent he ever beat was Allan Green (and he was knocked down in that fight as well). Miranda was never a technically sound fighter. Just a raw fighter with a lot of power. So clearly Cotto has always been a far superior fighter to Miranda.

Yes, Miranda has taken quite a few beatings. Is he shot? He's certainly getting there.

LOL. So Cotto didn't get brutally KO'd by Margarito and Manny? Or the brutal beating he took from Cottley. Stop acting like Cotto doesn't have a hard time beating a 38 yr old Mayorga. I can't wait until Cotto fights a live body so the world will be exposed to what I already know. Cotto is not the same fighter he's damaged goods just like Paul Williams and Pavlik.

dumbfuck, listen, Cotto is NOT shot. He's not the same fighter he once was but that doesn't make him shot. For the millionth time I don't understand why that is so hard for you to understand.

He took a beating from Pac but was never knocked out and Clottey didn't "brutally beat him" it was a tough fight that he won (whereas Miranda went to SLEEP three times!).

If he was shot he would not be ranked the #1 154 pound fighter and own a belt. He would not have beat Foreman and Mayorga. He would not be favored to beat guys like Canelo and Chavez jr., etc.

You're comparing apples & oranges anyway. Miranda never really beat anyone good in the first place unless you consider Allen Green good or an old Howard Eastman. He may have deserved to get the win against Arthur Abraham in Germany the first time but looking back how much of that was because Abraham's jaw was broken the entire fight, rather than Miranda just boxing great?

Mosley had a worse time beating Mayorga with one judge having it scored for Mayorga at the end of the 11th round. I guessed I missed the brutal beating he took from Clottey, must've been watching the other fight he had Clottey.

Not being the same fighter you once were does not = damaged goods, it means you're not the same fighter you once were. Meldrick Taylor towards the end of his career was damaged goods. Cotto doesn't fit that category.

Mosley came back in his next fight to knock Margarito out. The Mayorga fight was a off night. Like I said once Cotto fights a live body you guys will see what I'm talking about. Margarito will probably knock him out again. Cotto had a hard time in his next fight beating Yuri Foreman for his paper belt. The same Foreman that got knocked out by a fighter that was on friday night fights two weeks ago. Once Cotto fights a live body he's going to get beat up.

It doesn't really matter. Cotto can lose to Margarito and you'll say see I told you he was damaged goods or he'll beat Margarito and you'll say Margarito wasn't a live body and he too in fact is even more damaged goods. Repeat process on everyone else Cotto fights until he loses until you can claim to be right.

LOL. I'm a dumb fuck but Cotto is 30 yrs old and not the same fighter in your own words right? So what do you call a 30 year old fighter that is not the same anymore? I call him shot or damaged goods. You think about that really quick while you look at your Manny poster.

LOL. So getting brutally knocked out by Mosley and having your eye socket broken by Manny won't have an effect on Margarito? OK I got you.. Margarito is, was, and will always be a B level fighter and after that Manny beating he might me C-level now. Come on you can do better then that..

It's boxing and people get hurt. If your case for being damaged was accurate Holyfield and plenty other would never had the careers they had. My point was that you seem to discredit everyone for taking a knockout loss and immediately that said fighter is done and damaged which is ridiculous. It doesn't matter who Cotto fights and beats because you'll find a way to downgrade the win like you do every other win for anyone..

Bernard Hopkins is 46 years old and clearly not the same fighter he once was. He's lost a step or two. Or three. Is he damaged goods??

Your theory is shit and so is you're terminology. "Lost a step or two" or "past prime" does not equal "damaged good" and/or "shot." It really is that simple.

Is Victor Ortiz "damaged goods" and/or "shot" after the beating he took from Maidana? Is Amir Khan "damaged goods" and/or "shot" after his brutal KO loss from Prescott?

And big LOL at you saying Cotto struggled with Yuri Foreman. It was a pretty one sided fight if you ask me. Also factor in Cotto is fighting at a weight class he really doesn't belong in (154 pounds) being that he's about 5'6-5'7. He's small for the weight class yet still rated #1.

Ya Yuri was getting worked and re-injured his knee by running track inside the ring.
How long was he forced to stand in front of Cotto before he got a slug to the body that put him on the ground? I think it was a round or so...
