It's boxing and people get hurt. If your case for being damaged was accurate Holyfield and plenty other would never had the careers they had. My point was that you seem to discredit everyone for taking a knockout loss and immediately that said fighter is done and damaged which is ridiculous. It doesn't matter who Cotto fights and beats because you'll find a way to downgrade the win like you do every other win for anyone..
Actually I don't think you can read all that good, because the fighters I called shot are Pavlik, J-Taylor, Margarito, Cotto, and Paul Williams. Every last one of them fighters I listed above have been in two or more brutal fights, and they all took a lot of punches. Every last one of the fighters listed above have not beat a B-level or above fighter, since there last brutal fight. So I say all the above listed fighters are damaged goods. They can prove me wrong in the ring by beating a good fighter.

Bernard Hopkins is 46 years old and clearly not the same fighter he once was. He's lost a step or two. Or three. Is he damaged goods??

B-Hop is 46 years old I would say that he is past his prime. When have B-Hop been brutally beating? B-Hop lost a step due to age not do to taking a lot of damage.

lol. Just like the unbeatable Margarito walked throw Mosley's and Paul Williams punches huh?? Mayweather would have pot shotted Tony's head off for a very easy UD win.

right so now you're getting better at understanding what past prime means and losing a step or two.

what do you call Orlando Salido? This guy was KO'd 5 times, took some brutal blows by Gamboa and knocked down a couple times in that fight, then beat Lopez & Yamaguchi after that. He is the antithesis of bigface logic. Took so many beatings in his career, so many wars. And yet after that, he's now fighting the best he's ever fought.

Clearly Salido must be on steroids. Pavlik's had 1 fight since his loss to Martinez, which wasn't brutal at all (a win against an undefeated fighter) in a fight that he had Martinez on the floor, who by the way happens to be in the top 5 of nearly everyone's top 5 P4P list.

I'm not going over Williams terrible style match ups anymore.

Cotto BEAT Clottey so you using that fight as an example is retarded. Foreman was coming off the biggest win of his career, was undefeated, and had beat a legit fighter in Santos regardless of how Santos looked. I could give a fuck what Foreman did after that fight, hindsight is for bitches.

And Margarito has yet to fight since the Pacquiao fight unless we're counting the fight that he won after Mosley? You seem to have problems knowing what you're talking about.

My understanding about past prime and losing a step or two was never in question to begin with.

Maybe Lopez & Yamaguchi are not all that good, and Gamboa is a real elite fighter. I for one think that Gamboa is the real deal. Orlando Salido is like Margarito a B-level fighter that will beat anyone if you're not the real deal or if you don't train for a real war. Orlando Salido will bring the fight to you , so you better be ready.

but he's been KO'd 5 times and took some real beatings in his career, it's just not adding up under bigface logic. He must be shot. Not past prime or lost a step or two, this is certified shot we're talking about. I mean how can he beat Lopez & Yamaguchi, who apparently aren't very good, and knock down and give a hell of a fight in Gamboa, who you call elite? It just doesn't compute! 5 KO losses, real beatings and yet knocks down Gamboa and wins rounds and goes the full distance? something isn't right! Oh and he also beat Robert Guerrero! wtf is going on here!?!?!

Pavlik has not beat a good fighter since B-Hop, and Martinez beat the living shit out of Pavlik had him leaking all over the place. So try again with Pavlik.

Clottey had Cotto running for his life and leaking all over the place, so stop acting like Cotto blow Clottey out. Cotto beating Foreman lol. I won't even answer that if you want me to beleive that Foreman is a good fighter then shame on you. SMH on you even bring up Foreman to defend Cotto just shows me how far he dropped.

Margarito we will see how he looks against Cotto I guess. lol

You're right 3 fights in 5 years all against top 10 p4p fighters. Think about that for a minute Mayweather last 4 fights were against top p4p fighters and all of them were champions. The only non p4p fighters is Ortiz and he's a 147lb champion. LOL.. Keep on hating.

Martinez beat the living shit out of pavlik? damn you must have watched a different fight. Pavlik won the middle rounds and even scored a knockdown against Martinez.

He was bleeding from both eyes and that's unlike pavlik. Truth was he was in the betty ford clinic just days prior to the fight. As we know, alcoholics bleed heavily (see ricky hatton, julio cesar chavez sr. late in his career, etc.).

Pavlik isn't shot physically. If he doesn't amount to shit from this day forward it's either because he never beats his internal demons (alcohol, mentally broken).

Clottey had Cotto running for his life and leaking all over the place, so stop acting like Cotto blow Clottey out.
Cotto was "leaking all over the place" due to a headbutt in ROUND 3.

I don't think you understand what he's saying. Normal fighters who fight 2-3 times in a row it's much more physically demanding then fighting once every year or two.

I mean look at carl froch for example. he's fought Glen Johnson, Arthur Abraham, Mikkel Kessler, Andre Dirrell, Jermain Taylor, and Jean Pascal all in a row without any extended vacations or retirements. That's physically tough to do. And it's impressive.

I'm sure if he spread those fights out over 7-8 years, he would have won every one of them.

OK it still doesn't change the fact that Cotto was in a brutal fight and was leaking everywhere. What does the head butt have to do with Clottey and Cotto being in a brutal fight? And yes Martinez beat the shit out of Pavlik. Pavlik is a pro-fighter I don't give a fuck about his demons, he's paid to fight and paid good at that. FYI Paul scored a knockdown against Martinez so what's your point?

No I don't think you understand. Mayweather has reached the top he's a boss making all the big money. Froch and the rest of the boxing world wish they could do what Mayweather is doing. Mayweather already paid his dues he did the Friday night fights and the undercard thing. He doesn't HAVE to fight 2-3 times a year and he still fights top p4p fighters and he makes the big money to do it.
