Well if he fights Lara after Angulo then Ill give him props but if he ducks him again then we all know why. Got Em!!

From what I read they also wanted to Floyd to agree to fight for free as well. However it is its dumb and Manny needs to quit yappin because the article above on this thread points out all the excuses from him and his camp. Manny is just yappin as usual. Plus why would Floyd fight for free LMAO. Makes no sense. Got Em!!
The article about is by an MMA guy who just started watching boxing and cherry picked what information he wrote, obviously biased article. Anyways regarding Pac he did say Floyd should give his purse to charity as well but also said he can do whatever he wants with his money, and that Pac himself will donate 100% of his purse.

It was in response to Floyd continuing to say Pac is desperate for money and that's the only reason he wants a fight now. Pacquiao countered by saying he'll donate his entire purse, win or lose, just to fight.
Why the fuck didn't he just take the 40 million then? He had chance after chance to fight and didn't do it now he is saying he will give up his entire purse? Bro, you really believe Pac?

Exactly. If its not about money then why argue about 50/50 and then turn down 40 mill. Why not just tell Arum to make the fight and accomadate Floyd's request of the money situation since money doesnt matter. Manny is full of shit. Got Em!!

Again, the $40million would cut out Top Rank which of course couldn't fly since Pacquiao is under contract. In this case top rank would still get their money only Pacquiao would offer his to charity. Which is actually a calculated move because as for taxes it would be written off which solves his problems with the IRS.

Fuck the $40 milli, how about this? Floyd wouldn't even fight Manny knowing that Floyd would earn more money than he did against canelo! So regardless he still won't fight Manny. Give him $200 milli and he still won't fight Manny. That's a fact

Exclusive: Virgil Hunter explains his Radio Rahim interview and talks El Perro

By Kevin Davis

Karceno: The boxing world is talking about your interview with Radio Rahim, what did he say that really didn't sit well with you?

Hunter: "I wouldn't say it didn't sit well, I'm not bothered by him, but if you listened to the questions he asked, he was trying to minimize Mayweather's victory over Canelo, in my opinion. I deal in reality not other peoples perceptions. He kept trying to use other people perceptions as fact, and wanted me to respond. I answered the question honestly, but he didn't like the answer, I suppose, that's why he asked the same question again. I'm going to continue to give you an honest answer each time, because i don't focus on perceptions. If we did that, do you think Amir Khan would be in the position he is right now, if we listened to perceptions, do you think El Perro would be in the position he is right now if we listened to perceptions, or Andre."

Karceno: Are you a little worried about El Perro condition wise vs Canelo after the layoff?
Hunter: "Well it's been a year and a half, since he's been in the detention center, deprived of training and conditioning. What I found out is that he's very progressive and his muscle memory tells me, he has a tremendous upside to him. I expect this to be an amazing training camp, this is a fight he has been waiting for, two years now, and it's here, so I'm looking forward to him showing me things in this camp that I've haven't seen yet."

Karceno: Any new tricks or tips, we should expect to see from El Perro against Canelo?

Hunter: "He's a warrior and when you have a good soldier, you don't want to compromise who is truly is, you just want him to be aware of a few things, that may cost him the fight on the other end, like defensively. so he just really needs to be himself, you don't want to suppress that killer instinct."

Karceno: What's the difference you see in Canelo's power and El Perro's power?

Hunter: "Well I haven't padded Canelo but from the look at the kids fight I would say he has some good power, but I catch El Perro and he has a different punch all together, it gets right to the bone and wears you down as the fight goes on, so if he connects in the right spot it will end your night."

George Groves turns down Carl Froch rematch

George Groves has turned down a "seven figure offer" for a rematch with domestic rival and WBA and IBF super-middleweight champion Carl Froch.

Froch won their first encounter with a controversial stoppage in November.

He said: "We made a seven figure offer for a second fight that would have seen him earn around double that of the first. Disappointingly, George rejected this offer."

Froch will now aim to arrange a fight with Mexico's Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr.

The Nottingham fighter added: "I understand the demand for the Groves fight in the UK, but also the demand in the US for the Chavez fight.

"Talks are ongoing and no doubt some further news will break soon. I'm happy to fight anyone, as I have done throughout my entire career."

More to follow.

I think Groves should fight Andre Ward

Lol wut? Slut Wave Gang?!

Tramaine Williams Arrested, No-Go For Garcia-Burgos
Click Here To Email Printable version Search BoxingScene Database*

According to a report by*Chris Hunn of the New Haven Register, undefeated Top Rank prospect Tramaine “Mighty Midget” Williams (8-0) was arrested Thursday morning in New Haven, Connecticut. The information was confirmed to the paper by Williams'*trainer Brian Clark.

Williams, 21-years-old, will be arraigned Friday morning and will not fight Saturday*night as part of the undercard to Mikey Garcia-Juan*Carlos Burgos at The Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden.

The arrest came as part of a huge police raid on the Slut Wave gang. One of the residences raided was located on Button Street, which is where Williams, and others, were living with his grandmother. A*Tec-9 semiautomatic pistol was found under Williams' bed, according to the trainer.

“They found a gun under the bed where he was sleeping,” Clark said. “I don’t think it’s his. There’s a lot of people living in that house. I’d love to say he’s totally innocent, but I don’t know.”

Williams was charged with possession of an assault weapon and drug possession. The paper also notes that Williams was also arrested last Friday for four motor vehicle violations, including driving without a license.

Can Broner solve his Maidana problem the second time out?

Whatever one’s opinion on Adrien Broner – and there are plenty out there - it can’t be denied he’s got guts. Recently dethroned welterweight champion Broner has exercised his rematch clause to get Marcos Maidana back in the ring in summer 2014, following a one-sided upset loss to the Argentine power-puncher last month.

“El Chino” stripped Broner of his unbeaten record, WBA strap and mystique in as convincing fashion imaginable for an underdog, beating his flashy opponent from pillar to post and dropping him twice en route to a wide decision win in San Antonio, Texas.

The Showtime-televised Golden Boy show, “DANGER ZONE”, was aptly prophetic for “The Problem” as he hurried out of the ring with a suspected broken jaw. And as the cups and bottles rained down on him in the Alamodome, there was no doubt he was leaving with his stature broken also, his air of invincibility shattered and meteoric rise through the divisions stopped and derailed off its tracks. The man poised to take up Floyd Mayweather’s flamboyant, trash-talking, dollar-flashing, PPV record-setting mantle was mortal after all.

Where would Broner go from here they asked. Back down to 140? When would we see him again? Could he recover from such a humbling and chastening defeat? He’d talked the talk but it was Maidana who walked the walk that night, walking through Broner as well as walking him down at that.

The news earlier in January that Adrien Broner would seek to avenge Maidana immediately has prompted discussion that the young American is taking a colossal risk with his career by not taking a path of lesser resistance back to the P4P summit. The conventional wisdom being that Broner’s lackadaisical and cocky attitude had cost him the first time around, added to distractions out of the ring and his potent punching power not carrying all the way to 147.

The perils of immediate rematches following decisive defeats has been shown by David Price’s capitulation to the unheralded but formidable Tony Thompson and let’s not forget Carl Froch’s slow deliberation over granting his young, dangerous rival George Groves a second crack of the whip in overthrowing him as a unified 168lb champion. Indeed Maidana himself acknowledged the irony of Amir Khan’s refusal to grant a rematch in their spectacularly competitive bout three years ago – with Khan now seemingly set to win the Mayweather sweepstakes – while the newly-crowned WBA champ is forced to rematch a fighter that was much more convincingly beaten than he that night at the Mandalay Bay in 2010. However what of Lamont Peterson voluntarily rematching Khan, Mayweather having the similar grace against José Luis Castillo or Tyson Fury going back to the well with John McDermott?

It’s a commonly held belief that the better man usually wins the second fight, after having made the necessary adjustments in training to alleviate weaknesses and negate their conquerors strongest weapons (see Lennox Lewis v Rahman, Holyfield and McCall). What we saw in San Antonio was the result of overreach and hubris from a charismatic, promising young star who previously was getting by on his talent alone. Now we will see if Adrien Broner has the discipline to go to with his guts and skills - and in reaction to his first loss - if he can plot and scheme a solution out of a Problem of his own making.
