Exclusive Interview with Mikey Garcia: he breaks down his Burgos and Pacquiao and more

By Kevin Davis

Karceno: You are looking sharp and stronger each fight, what do you know about Burgos and how do you keep yourself into the moment of not overlooking him.

Garcia: "Well you can't overlook anyone at this point, I mean he's a good fighter, who has had two shots at a world title before and didn't get the nod, so this is his moment in his life, where he is going to give it all he has, I'm aware of that, so I will study him in the ring and if I have to press the action, I will at times, but it will be an exciting fight."

Karceno: You're name is coming up a lot when it comes to Manny Pacquiao, and fans are starting to ask more about the bout, what are your thoughts about this fight happening and is it too soon?

Garcia: "I think I'm ready, I've been in the ring with Manny before, I don't know if he remembers those sparring sessions but I held my own, I didn't kick his ass or nothing, and he didn't kick mine, but it let me know I could hang in there with him. You know when we were in Macau China, and he was fighting Brandon I could see his speed was troubling Brandon, and that was obviously their gameplan was to not stand in front of Brandon, but I'm a different fighter and I know I can do other things that can give Manny Pacquiao problems in the ring, that he would have to worry about."

Karceno: So just like that Manny Pacquiao is on the radar he's two weight classes ahead of you though?

Garcia: "it's not like it's my next fight, but maybe at the end of the year or beginning of next year, we should be ready. I remember tell Cameron Dunkin after that fight in Macau, and telling him I want Pacquiao, and I can beat him. They said are you sure, I said yes make it happen and the talk started from there, but I'm not overlooking Burgos, I'm all focused on him right now."

Karceno: Speaking of focused, Yuriorkis Gamboa has been trying to get your attention all week.

Garcia: "Yeah well talk is cheap you know, if you want the fight then step up and get the fight, I'm not hard to find or to make a fight with, get your promoter to get with my promoter and make it happen, you know the rest is just him trying to promote himself and keep his name out there, you remember Ricardo Mayorga right, he made a living doing things like that. it got him a lot of big fights, so if they can get the fight done it's no problem for me to fight him."

Rosado is the type of fighter you look at and you're like fuck this guy! But man has earned everyone's respect, a true fighter who will fight anyone anytime, he's fought the best as well as fighting undefeated rising prospects knowing damn well he's brought in to be "the opponent". Nothing but respect for Rosado I hope he pulls off the victory.

Dany Garcia and Paulie are a couple other dudes I disliked but eventually respected them for their toughness.

Cornelius "K9" Bundrage will NOW Face The Winner of Jermall Charlo vs Carlos Molina

By Shawn Craddick

Cornelius "K9" Bundrage took at gamble to face Joey Hernandez tonight. The purse was so awfully low, that most people would not have taken it. K9 knew that by taking this fight it would line him up for the IBF Title fight. K9 ended up beating Joey Hernandez over 12 rounds tonight and that has placed him next in line for the winner of Jermall Charlo vs Carlos Molina. The fight tonight was the IBF 154lb Eliminator. Charlo vs Molina will take place on March 8 on the Angulo vs Canelo undercard. Stay tuned ....

Pacquiao: There's no robbing me in Bradley II

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao said he wants to prove that Timothy Bradley’s victory during their welterweight title clash in 2012 was just a sham.

The judges in that bout awarded Bradley a split decision, thereby handing over the WBO welterweight strap to the unbeaten American.

Pacquiao said that although he calmly accepted the outcome, he said he knew he was robbed.

“Everybody, or almost everybody, anyway, knows I won that fight,” the quick-punching boxer from General Santos City said in an interview with Philboxing’s Eddie Alinea.

“Although I accepted the controversial verdict, mas mabuti na rin na patunayan nating nagkamali ang mga huwes sa kanilang desisyon robbing, not only me but the entire boxing world, of a victory.”

Although Top Rank’s Bob Arum has yet to make a formal announcement, Pacquiao made it clear that he’s facing Bradley against on April 12.

In fact, he said, he’s already planning his training routine for the rematch.

“The final decision lies on me naman, so pwede ko nang sabihin na si Bradley na talaga," said pacquiao. “It’s already a little less than three months na lang at April 12 na, and I have to start training early kaya okay na rin sa akin.”

“February na next week, meaning I have to open camp the second week of that month.”

Pacquiao added that he chose Bradley over “Siberian Rocky” Ruslan Provodnikov due to his history with the American boxer.

The Filipino said both he and Bradley are in need of a closure to their controversial fight.

“I owe it to boxing fans, especially to our countrymen, that I win back the crown and I will do just that. I promise,” he said.

Pacquiao added that Bradley himself will want to prove that he deserves to be wearing the WBO welterweight crown.

“It will be a good fight and closer this time. Tim have improved vastly since we first met and I’m sure he, too, will be proving that his win was no fluke.”

that's a dumb move if its not an undercard ppv. HBO needs to do that to get over a milli buys for the pac vs Bradley fight like they did for Garcia vs Mathysse fight. The difference is that GGG or Kirkland can become ppv stars after this one. yet again tho, thye are not TR but hbo needs to expand more
