There's a difference... I don't like that word and I don't personally use it unless of course I'm callin' it as I see it.
If you rob, steal, sell drugs, shoot people, don't work and still drive a nicer can than me... you are the "N" word.
If you like every other hard working citizen that works their asses off for everything they own, then you are just like anyone else. There are a lot of white "N" people too though, don't get me wrong, they come from all races. But to me, there's a difference between a "WN/N" than a hard working black/white citizen.
And I honestly don't like that word, but I'm not gonna lie, I've used it on occasion, usually while watching the news. There's a difference though and I would understand if you guys had a term for white people who steal, lie, shoot people, don't work... I'd agree w/ you. My family can cook good. I think it depends on how your raised. If you are raised in a family that cooks every night, then you're going to be able to cook. If your family gets fast food or eats out a lot, you'll probably cook like shit. My family and I can cook really good- that good old southern cooking.

Because the word is a term of endearment & only should be used around black circles. The real definition of a nigga is a black decendent born & bread in America. Unfortanatly most blacks don't know this it causes more confusion then it should. I know what Websters white dictionary says but its bullshit. I researched the word thoroully back in the 90's & found the true meaning.
Now why shouldn't a nonblack say it? Good question. I personally use to didn't care if my a nonblack homie called me nigga but I found out the hard way that I shouldn't let'em. They'll call u nigga, nigga, nigga alday while ur cool but as soon as ya'll beefing they flip it on u & call u a NIGGER! A nonblack can will use it out of context whenever they feel like it so I just came to the conclusion that I don't want any nonblack using the word around me. If ur black homies give u a pass then only say it around them don't go around town just saying it cuz u got a pass with ur friends cuz some blacks aren't diplomatic & won't care & get gangsta on u for using that word.
