Is this not supposed to be the ''land of the free'' and ''the great melting pot''...? Should we not be allowed to speak our native toungue?

I think there are certain times and places for it, and obviously a job (public) and schools (for the most part) are not one of them...but why would it bother anyone (you)?

There are two reasons, in my opinion:

1.) Mexicans frown upon someone who has forgot their roots, or has turned away from tradition. It's a pride thing, mostly.

2.) Jealousy's a motherfucker. Really. You see someone who you grew up with, and hung out with, and suddenly they're going to college to make something of themselves, and you're...working at Rolberto's, the taco truck.

I don't knock someone for making something of themselves; I applaud them. I wish there were more of my people to do that. But, I don't believe you have to forget where you came from, and throw away your roots, to accomplish 'bigger and better things'...I think you can have a little (or a lot) of both.

i used to smoke menthols cause they dont make me as sick when im drunk as smoking a regular cigg would, id be rockin skate shoes and long hair, and just cause i use some slang, and smoked menthols at parties i was labeled a wigger. lmao at people. only time ive seen a white afraid of a black is when the room has a group of blacks in it, blacks unite quick, ive seen fights where black dude starts fighting with 2 white kids, and 4 more blacks that didnt even know him just hop in, cause they see whites beating up blacks, white kids will just assume the white kid deserves it, and not jump in. also, darker skin shows more definition in muscle, so blacks will look more muscular than whites, even if its pretty close, so that could be it. im buck as fuck, but i try not to be stupid with it, never fight a black surrounded by blacks. and ive never seen asians jump people, the biggest groups for jumping people here is the younger blacks, like the little gangsters that are just getting put on, or the natives.

If that was in reference to my statements, you're wrong. I never implied that I personally felt that way.

I haven't worn Dickies or Cortez (yes, unfortunately, I wore them...), since junior high...which was like, 10 years ago. LOL
