Speak for yourself bruh, That is definitely not the baddest chick I have seen. She is actually overrated. Women like her are a dime a dozen when you're Mayweather, she can be easily replaced, trust me. Men need to stop being googly eyed at these golddiggers and think with the head that's on their shoulders. They only want you for your money anyway. I'm pretty sure Mayweather has a roster full of bitches, he ain't trippin, She is, lol. Real Men know how to put these hoes in check. Major Props to Money May.
I said I was joking. She's pretty damn dope though, no lie about that. I met countless gold diggers and bad bitches with problems when I lived in San Diego.

But on the real, I'm not giving props to Mayweather for anything women related. He puts he's hit women in the past. No love for dudes like that.

Erislandy Lara Wants Canelo, Triple GGG, and Floyd - Pokes Fun at ALL 3

By Shawn Craddick

It's no surprise that Erislandy Lara wants to fight the best. However he is being avoided like the plague. He is coming off recent wins against Austin Trout and Alfredo Angulo and he is the WBC Interim Champion. He is awkward and has that Cuban style of boxing. He has been calling them out but so far no response. Who would you like to see Lara fight next?

Is Floyd sending subliminal shots at Ms. Jackson now?

By Kevin Davis

Is this relationship back on the damn rocks, I hope not but fighting through social media seems to be a good way to keep my phone ringing about their private relationship. Earlier today Ms. Jackson took a shot at Floyd and his team on Twitter and now it seems that Floyd is sending a subliminal shot right back in her direction. I just wish everybody just got along so I can write about boxing and not this garbage. …

Bob Arum is high on Sonsona after sensational knockout

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum who was enamored with Marvin Sonsona when he saw the lanky southpaw in his pre-fight, press public workout in Macau, said his knockout punch that flattened former WBA super bantamweight champion Akifumi Shimoda on Saturday night was “one of the best punches I’ve ever seen in 50 years of boxing.”

Arum spoke to the Manila Standard from Macau before leaving by ferry to Hong Kong and then taking a flight to Las Vegas. He said the attendance at the Cotai Arena of the plush Venetian Resorty Hotel and Casino was “tremendous and everybody loved it.”
Arum was ecstatic. He said “what a left uppercut. It traveled such a short distance with such power. It was an incredible punch.”

He said the 23 year old Sonsona who captured the WBO International featherweight title “can be a superstar,”
Arum told us that promotional partners Sammy Gello-ani and Sampson Lewkowicz want to have him work with us which is fine. They both seem like nice fellas so we are going to integrate him (Sonsona) into future cards both in Asia and the United States.”

However, he agreed with our observation that Sonsona would need one or two more fights before he goes after a world title.
Arum, who didn’t really know the style of Sonsona or his gameplan noted that “in the first two rounds he looked like nothing. It seemed like a mismatch” before he exploded with a devastating uppercut that knocked Shimoda out cold.

He was also extremely pleased with the performance of the three Olympic gold medalists on the “Ring of Gold” card. He said two-time Chinese Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming who scored a 7th round knockout over Thailand’s Yokthong Kokietgym will have two more ten round bouts before he fights for the IBF flyweight title in November against another former Olympian Amnat Ruenroeng of Thailand.

The Top Rank promoter was also impressed by middleweight Ryota Murata, the 2012 London Olympic gold medalist who scored a 4th round TKO over veteran Carlos Nascimento if Brazil and Russia’s London Olympic light heavyweight gold medalist Egor Mekhontsev who won by a 2nd round TKO over previously unbeaten Attaporn Jaritram of Thailand in a six round bout.

He said the Japanese, Murata, has “a tremendous personality and should be a movie star.”

Roach: Pacquiao and Cotto Will Not Spar in Camp

by Ronnie Nathanielsz

“Trainer of the Year” Freddie Roach, who was scheduled to leave on Monday to join ”Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao at his training camp in General Santos City disclosed that even if Miguel Cotto trains alongside Pacquiao - he will not spar with him.

Roach told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard on his arrival from Macau on Sunday that Cotto would train at the Pacman Wild Card Gym should Pacquiao decide to train in his hometown for four weeks which was the original plan. Otherwise, he said, if Pacquiao decides to leave for the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles earlier, Cotto would join him there.

Roach said he would have a clearer picture once he meets with Pacquiao on Monday.

The celebrated trainer dismissed reports that Cotto would spar with Pacquiao who scored a 12th round TKO over the Puerto Rican in November 2011 pointing out that the former three division champion has moved up in weight and is now fighting at 160 pounds and will challenge middleweight champion Sergio Martinez of Argentina at New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 7.

He said he would check on how Pacquiao’s condition is as he planned to begin sparring this week with undefeated former Floyd Mayweather Sr protégé Lydell Rhodes (19-0, 9 KO’s).

Roach also confirmed a Standard story last week that former world light welterweight champion Kendall Holt, who lost his title to Bradley by a unanimous decision despite dropping the undefeated Bradley once in round one and once more in round twelve, would be among Pacquiao’s sparring partners in Los Angeles.

Roach said he plans to train Pacquiao to be more aggressive in his April 12 rematch with Bradley at the MGM Grand Garden Hotel in Las Vegas and indicated while he won’t go looking for a knockout he will take it if he gets an opening.

Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz who arrived with Roach from Macau told us that Pacquiao’s training had been going well and it will “step up a notch now that Freddie is here.”

Koncz said in his mind “nothing short of a knockout will do” to help Pacquiao regain his stature as an elite fighter.

Hearn: Burns will beat Crawford
February 23rd, 2014 | Post Comment - 8 Comments

Terence Crawford Burns Crawford Burns vs. Crawford ricky burns By Scott Gilfoid: Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn thinks WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns (36-2-1, 11 KO’s) will be pulling off a big upset this Saturday night against challenger Terence Crawford (22-0, 16 KO’s) on March 1st. Aside from Burns’ own fans, there aren’t too many people giving him any chance in this fight.

Burns is seen pretty much as someone on his last legs walking sluggishly into what will be a one-sided beating that will end with Crawford taking his title from him when the two go at it front of a packed house a the Scottish Exhibition Centre, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Burns’ promoter Eddie Hearn is sticking with him until the last, and he’s not ready to abandon ship and call it like he sees it by saying that Burns has no chance against the talented Crawford. Hearn is still mouthing that Burns will win, but you’ve got to wonder what he really thinks inside of his head as each day gets nearer.

Things look mighty bleak for Burns, as there’s a different crew of judges working this fight than the ones that gave Burns a gift 12 round draw in his last fight against Raymundo Beltran last September. It’s hard to see anything positive coming out of this for Burns in this fight unless he an somehow get lucky by Crawford suffering a terrible shoulder or hand injury that causes the fight to be halted abruptly before Crawford can finish out the fight.

“I believe Ricky Burns is going to win that fight fight [Crawford[], I really do,” Hearn said to IFL TV.

I really feel bad for Hearn, because Burns won’t be winning this fight, and nor will he even come close to winning it. I believe Burns is going to be little more than a punching bag for Crawford to pound into chopped liver in this fight, and it’s up to Burns and Hearn whether they want the fight to go the full distance or not. I hope for Burns’ sake the Hearn does something merciful like throwing in the white towel of surrender at some point, and hopefully early on. There’s really no point in Hearn letting the beating go on too long in this fight, because you don’t want to see Burns get used up in one fight in taking a needless whipping by Crawford.

Crawford has shown that he’s got the most talent in the lightweight division recently with his incredibly impressive wins over Breidis Prescott, Andrey Klimov, Alejandro Sanabria, and Sidney Siqueira. I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again, I see Crawford as another Floyd Mayweather Jr. in terms of talent and fighting style. Crawford just needs a few minor tweaks in his game to be just as entertaining and identical to Mayweather. When I watch Crawford, I see a young Mayweather, and I think this guy can be a huge mega-star in the near future with the right training. I’d like to see Crawford get with Floyd Mayweather Sr. or Roger Mayweather so that they can put the finishing touches on making him more Mayweather-like.

Matthysse possible for Mayweather’s undercard on May 3rd

lucas matthysse floyd mayweather jr By Dan Ambrose: Conditioning coach Marcelo Crudelo is saying that former WBC light welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse (34-3, 32 KO’s) is possible for the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr’s next fight card on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to esnewsreporting.com. Matthysse is currently getting ready for his next fight already.

There’s still no names as to who Matthysse will be fighting, but it’ll likely be a decent opponent if he ends up the Mayweather pay-per-view fight card on Showtime, because he usually has competitive and interesting fights on his cards.

It would be interesting to see Matthysse challenging for another world title, but that’s not likely to happen anytime soon at 140. Matthysse isn’t ranked high enough to get a shot against any of the light welterweight champions right now, and none of them are going to volunteer to fight him due to him being such a tough out. Matthysse vs. someone like Devon Alexander would be an interesting fight for fans to see, even though Alexander is now fighting at 147 instead of 140.

Alexander barely beat Matthysse by a 10 round decision in 2011 in a fight that some fans believe Matthysse won. If there had been another 2 rounds, Matthysse would have removed all doubt because Alexander was fading badly in the last half of the fight and had little left. If not Alexander, a rematch between Matthysse and Zab Judah would also be a good fight. Judah beat Matthysse by a controversial decision in 2010. Matthysse has improved since then while Judah has gone downhill.

Matthysse, 31, lost his last fight against WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia last September on the undercard of the Mayweather vs. Saul “Canelo” Alvarez card in Las Vegas. Matthysse did his part in trying to make a fight of it, but Danny chose to run, hold and throw low blows for 12 rounds, and the fight was a huge disappointment as the co-feature.

That’s now how Matthysse fights, and he wasn’t able to land enough of his shots due to the spoiling tactics that Garcia used in the fight. However, when Matthysse was able to get Garcia to stand in front of him and trade, Matthysse was able to land a lot of big punches. In the last 6 rounds of the fight, it was virtually an un-watchable fight due to Danny’s tactics to keep from getting hit.

Matthysse will be a good addition to the Mayweather card if he’s matched against the right opponent. They can’t just put a weak opponent in with him and expect fans to be eager to see the fight.

Kell Brook tells Khan that he can get rich fighting him

Kell Brook ✔ S @SpecialK Brook
Follow

Give the public what they want A @amir kingkhan - biggest payday out there for you - you can retire rich at least! #AllOfTheLights

By Scott Gilfoid: Former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (28-3, 19 KO’s) might not get the fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3rd, but he can get a nice payday fight against #1 IBF Kell Brook (31-0, 21 KO’s), or at least that’s what Brook is saying. Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn reportedly said that a Brook fight could mean a $5 million payday for Khan if he were to accept it. That’s probably four times the amount that Khan will be making if he faces one of Golden Boy Promotions fighters in April or May.

It makes a lot of sense for Khan to accept the offer from Brook to fight him next, especially given the high probability that Khan will get beaten in his next fight against one of the names – Adrien Broner, Lamont Peterson or Shawn Porter – that he’s interested in fighting him.

Hearn said this on his twitter today: “Remember essentially it’s public demand that makes fights happen – S @SpecialK Brook v A @amir KingKhan make some noise for that one.”

I don’t see there being a high demand for a Khan-Brook fight right now, but that doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t be a successful fight in the UK. It’ll do well, but it would do much better if Brook were to get a couple of solid wins under his belt beforehand. Brook doesn’t have the experience against quality opposition to make the Khan fight as big as it could be.

If Brook can stay healthy long enough to face and beat Shawn Porter, and then defend the title against quality opposition, then I see a Brook-Khan fight being huge. But you just don’t know what to expect with Brook, because he kept getting injured when he was scheduled to face Devon Alexander last year. Alexander moved on, and Brook resumed facing the poor opposition that he’s been fighting his entire career.

If Khan loses this next fight, the Brook needed worry about fighting him because the interest won’t be there in the UK in that fight. There would be some interest, but it would be a lot less than if they were to face each other right now.

Brook will be fighting next month on March 15th against an opponent still to be determined at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, UK. It’s obviously going to be another weak opponent for Brook, because anytime you get this close a fight and the opponent still hasn’t been named, it means that it’s going to be a weak opponent.

The real problem with Brook is that he’s been fighting for 10 years and the best opposition he’s faced in all those years is Matthew Hatton, Vyacheslav Senchenko, Lovemore N’dou, and Carson Jones in all that time. In other words, he’s been fighting fringe level/2nd tier opposition. Brook probably would have gotten the Khan fight ages ago if he had started facing quality opposition 5-6 years ago instead of sticking with fodder all these years. I still don’t understand why Brook has wasted 10 years of his career fighting weak opposition. It’s such a waste. It’s like Brook has a failure to launch. Instead of progressing from the elementary opposition like most fighters do, Brook has remaining stuck fighting the same poor opposition year after year.

I’d like to see Brook face Keith Thurman and then Shawn Porter before getting a fight against Khan/ Brook needs to fight someone that’s actually relevant because it’s so tiresome seeing him fight worn out fighters or lesser 2nd tier guys.

Khan looking at Broner, Peterson or Porter as his Plan B opponent for April or May
February 22nd, 2014 | Post Comment - 68 Comments
219Share 6 273Share 27Tweet

amir khan adrien broner By Scott Gilfoid: Amir Khan is actively planning for his next fight in April or May now that he believes in his mind that Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants nothing to do with him and is running scared of him due to his hand speed. Khan says he’s interested in fighting one of the following opponents if possible: Adrien Broner, Lamont Peterson or Shawn Porter.

For Khan to get fights against Peterson and Porter, it could put these fighters in the situation where they would be defending their title against an opponent with a 2-2 record in his last four fights. How the sanctioning bodies could even approve such a fight is beyond me.

“We have discussed names like Adrien Broner, a re-fight with Lamont Peterson or maybe Shawn Porter,” Khan said to The National. “I never say no to a fight if it is a big fight.”

Khan-Broner would be a great fight. It’s definitely possible if Maidana faces Mayweather on May 3rd. Broner would obviously have a difficult time saying no to the big cash that he could make in a fight against Khan. Heck, that’s a much better fight than Broner’s rematch against Maidnaa, because no one would give Broner a chance against Maidana in a second fight. But against Khan, it would be a toss up with with Broner having a chance of winning if he can connect to Khan’s fragile chin with one of his big shots.

Broner may be slow, small, stationary and easy to hit at welterweight, but he still has a little pop in his punches. Khan would have to try and somehow get through 12 rounds without Broner finding his chin, and I don’t think that’s possible. Broner would get to Khan sooner or later with one of his hooks or straight right hand bombs, and I suspect that Khan would either be on the canvas or staggering around the ring like a drunk.

A Khan-Broner fight would be the perfect setup fight for a potential Mayweather vs. Khan fight in 2015. Khan might not be able to fight Mayweather in September due to the lost time that Khan won’t be able to train during Ramadan, but the fight is definitely doable in 2015.

Khan says he never says no to a fight. Well, why didn’t he ever give Marcos Maidana a rematch and why didn’t he try and avenge his loss to Breidis Precott. I may be wrong, but I think Khan-Maidana II and Khan-Prescott II would have been heck of a lot better fights than Khan’s fights against Paul McCloskey, Carlos Molina, Julio Diaz, Dmitriy Salita, Oisin Fagan and Paulie Malignaggi.

Who wouldn’t want to see Khan fight Maidana or Prescott again? Khan was halted in the 1st round by Prescott in 2008, and he never even tried to avenge the loss. With Maidana, Khan beat him but the result was highly controversial due to way that the referee Joe Cortez involved himself in the fight in the final three rounds when Khan was staggering around the ring and taking one-way punishment. Maidana frequently found Cortez in between him and Khan when he was trying to stop him in rounds 10 through 12.

Tim Bradley on Palm Springs black history parade: 'like a black family reunion'

PALM SPRINGS — Boxer Timothy Bradley waved to the diverse throng lining Palm Canyon Drive from a white Jeep Wrangler Saturday — taking time to point at his mother and father on the sidewalk, before being whisked away to cheers from the crowd.

The undefeated WBO welterweight champion served as the grand marshal of the 27th annual Black History Month Parade & Town Fair in downtown Palm Springs for the second time in his life.

His first was in 2009, right after the 30-year-old won his first world title.

“This feels like a black family reunion and, increasingly, a Palm Springs reunion,” said the Rev. C.W. Parker of Ajalon Baptist Church, after participating in the parade. “It’s just one of the things that makes the city cool.”

He called the parade a staple of the Desert Highland Gateway Estates community, and believes it, along with the Tour de Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Festival of Lights are the three must-see, public events in the city.

Amid the Los Angeles chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen and bikers from a variety of Southern California motorcycle clubs marched the Palm Spring High School band and a number of local politicians.

Wanda Wilson arrived with her husband, Thaddeus, half an hour before the parade’s start at 11 a.m. to secure a spot near the finish at Alejo Road.

“I was born here in Palm Springs, and I’m glad the city is bringing awareness to the different ethnicities that are here,” Wanda said. “Palm Springs is growing, and I see a lot of diversity coming here.”

Opal Long of Palm Springs has attended the parade every year since it began.

“It’s nice, that’s all that I can say,” she said. “I’m a fan of (Bradley’s), and this is a good event to have in the city.”

Bradley’s father, Timothy “Ray” Bradley Sr., was trying his best to remain in the background and spectate, despite being a familiar face in his son’s corner.

The younger Bradley grew up attending the parade with his family.

“It’s just wonderful that people select him to participate, and thank God he has time in his busy schedule,” the elder Bradley said. “It’s a pleasure to see him come here and mingle with his people — shows you how humble he is.”

His son’s appearance was sandwiched between two training sessions in preparation for his April 12 title defense against Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

Bradley Sr. believes his son will definitely defeat Pacquiao.

“He’s got a lot of energy, and he wants this one,” he said of his son. “The only body who can stop him is himself, and that’s not happening — no way.”

Following the parade, spectators could treat themselves to the town fair, where cheese steaks and frozen lemonade were served among countless other foods and beverages.

A dance competition is held as part of the fair, featuring kids from all over Southern California.

“I’m so glad our town can celebrate Black History Month in this fashion,” said Paul Lewin, city councilman, while having a hotdog. “People really do get together to make it a party, and the dancing is out of this world.”

Who the fuck are you an abuse expert? (I had to study it in college and have two degrees in a field that deal with this sort of thing so where is your "expertise" coming from?) There are PLENTY of men who suffered abuse at the hands of women and the shit either went unreported because the guy was afraid he might be ridiculed or he reported it and it was swept under the rug. Yes, some of the attacks are due to the man causing the problem and things escalate but many times it is because the female escalated and he held firm to the belief that a person of the opposite sex should not be hit. And I don't find myself in confrontations or altercations period, but best believe if she touches me in a manner that is hostile she will be rewarded with like force. Now you can take that knight and shining armor shit to wherever the fuck you want, but don't bring that shit to my porch, cheesedick.

ETA: And some people, male and female, are crazy and many times the red flags are not ignored they simply don't pop up. Dennis Radar was married and a deacon in a fuckin church yet his crazy ass was killing for close to 20 years.

I'm nowhere near your porch lol I'm speaking from experience. You're speaking from your experience I guess. I didn't say anything about being a knight in shining armor. Treat people with respect and get respect, and you'll be less likely to get into altercations in general. But judging by the way you're speaking to me, you'd be a lot more likely to get into a physical altercation because of your words than I would. Do what you do man, it's your life. We can agree to disagree.
