yeah that.
theres crime in the suburbs but its not as blatant as it is in a "non-suburb". the Piedmont culture aint like the Oakland culture, even though its right there. same with Alameda. some areas its more acceptable to hang on the street and drink 40's and smoke blunts. its more acceptable to yell "fuck the police" when they got someone hemmed up. some areas its more acceptable to kick it in front of the store. some areas citizens wont talk to police after an incident or call police due to not liking the cops. that aint wps. The Ranch in Stockton (Weston Ranch) was built in the 80's/early 90's. it was a nice white suburb. if you lived there back then you said you was from Weston Ranch, not Stockton. the area started having problems in the very early 2000's. people started renting out their homes and renters who didnt really give a fuck started moving in. its a whole different area now. its a ghetto suburb. its even worse now after the housing crash. Stockton was the forclosure capital of america and the ranch was the hardest hit area, by far. rent theres a lot cheaper. and in some cities, cheap rent equals high crime. theres a lot more crime there cus the area is more accepting of it than it was 15 years ago. that area had 3 pop warner football squads. one of them, the Falcons, was in a certain league and got kicked out the league cus cities like Concord, Oakley, Vacaville, Pittsburg, and Tracy didnt like playin in the ranch, or against the ranch kids cus the parents and the ranch were "too ghetto". it aint the kids fault. its the elders who dont give a fuck about their community or how they act. the kids get caught in the middle. thats the fucked up shit right there. the ranch got some nice homes, and some big homes. but you go for a walk, you might fuck around and get robbed. i lived there for a minute a couple years back and there was a lot of gun shots. you wouldnt've heard no gun shots there 15 years ago. 10 years ago you woulda heard a whole lot less. all the white folks keep moving outta there. the ones that stay are the ones thinkin their really going to make a change, like one of the Guardian Angels sets. the blacks and browns aint trippin as much cus in a fucked up way its kind of acceptable, though its obviously not. the cops just had a shoot out this summer at the elementary school in the ranch. dude dumped on the police with an assault rifle. so yeah theres crime in the suburbs, but its different when its a nice white suburb. but thats the peoples faults. teaching the kids that its fuck the police all day dont help them at all and makes matters worse to live in.
if thats tl;dr then i totally understand.
