damn there was just a 2 pt. deduction for intentionally hitting behind the head on Friday Night Fights, isn't that a bit excessive?
Intentional are usually 2 point deductions. Most don't get called intentional because it's just hard to gauge intention. What Norwood did was clear as day he stared at the back of his head for a minute and punched immediately after the referee clearly said "stop, stop don't punch."

And Sillakh is the goods.. can't say much more than that.

James Kirkland wins by 34 second KO.

@stevemaxboxing Steve Kim
Well, that was over quick, 'Kirkland stops Ashandi Gibbs in about 30 seconds. Can't wait to see more of 'Mandigo' #boxing

Richard Schaefer came over and told me that Kirkland buckled part of the ring. Will try and get him a fight before April 9th show

Gabriel_Montoya Gabriel Montoya
Kirkland apparently not only broke his opponent. They are now repairing the ring. Welcome back, James

@TheRealPhantom5 - he looks like the same hell-bent-for-leather guy he was before- which is great

Over clears.
It actually cleared a lot easier than I thought it would.
I know Alvarez couldn't KO people who box, but I didn't even have any scares.

Canelo doesn't have "bad" defense necessarily. He's just not quick. He is a very grounded and strong fighter. That will always open you up to shots. My opinion, he is not even close being ready to fight the top of the division. They are moving him up and a good pace.

Anyways, hell yeah I won my play.

i was thinking the same thing. imo he should have refused that stupid belt. now people r going to call him a paper champ if he doesn't defend it against the top guys

I don't even think he should be fighting legitimate #1 contenders yet. His team (promotions, manager, etc.) is doing great. It's cool that he is being level headed and knows he needs a couple more fights. Even though he dropped out of school I think he is still a very intelligent person.

His defense is what it is. He doesn't drop his hands. He's not getting nailed with counters. He just has a lack of movement.

Why Berto? He is at 147 and is already making Ortiz move up in class. Who knows whats going on with that guy, but if I was Canelo I wouldn't even give him the time of day.
