I've counted Gonzalez out like 42 times in his career. I'm not going to do that tonight. I expect Mares to win, but Gonzalez is a tough dude. I expect Santa Cruz to have a tough time tonight, but ultimately I think he'll win

Hands down the best All Access Mayweather vs. Canelo I'm hyped. Mares and Santa Cruz both should win tonight, but I think both are going to be in tuff fights.

I didn't see any pics of the weigh in's and stuff. I didn't realize that Gonzalez was that much bigger and that was the first thing I said to my wife when they started. Mares looked kinda small.

I'd love to see him fight Santa Cruz still either way. Still really happy for Gonzalez even though Mares is one of my favorite fighters

I think the ref was close to stopping it after the first knock down. He looked at him real hard and saw he was badly hurt, actually helped him out a bit by giving him time to really walk to him. So the second knock down, plus the way he was just not protecting himself well wailing arm punches as desperation told him enough. Mares to brave for his own good tonight.

I think Golden Boy would do a good job promoting him too, even though they haven't done a great job with Lara. I think you could stand to lose a fight and still be a star as a 122 lb fighter better than a 154lb fighter unless they didn't have high expectations to begin with (Angulo, Kirkland). Canelo would've suffered a big setback by losing to Trout or Lara. Mares, though knocked out hard in the 1st round, could bounce right back and be in a big fight. Sucks for him, he will probably get another tough fight. He's had a grip of difficult fights in a row.

Who does Gonzalez fight next from here? I thought he would've beaten Ponce De Leon. Curious to see if they rematch or what? Too bad Garcia moved up
