Yeah that was a pitty stoppage though, he didn't get knocked out they just stopped it cant remember if his corner threw in the towel or if the ref stopped it, but he didn't go down or was out on his feet, just completely out classed and taking a beating.

He will if when he fights Wilder lol. Got Em!!

Even Haymon cant stop a ko. The only Mitchell survives this fight is to run like he did against Banks the 2nd time around lol. Got Em!!
Gotta agree. Mitchell has a terrible chin. Fight ends the moment Big Nipple lands a flush shot.

Too bad because Mitchell is a tank and he's a very good dude. But this what usually happens when football players join boxing late. They never develop punch resistance from life long sparring and practice.

It was listed as a technical decision? I can't remember the end of that fight. Was it a cut due to a headbutt or something? That's the only technical decision I can think of that would've stopped it. Either way, he was getting the piss beat out o him and he couldn't mount any offense at all. Buddy McGirt woulda threw in the towel in the 7th round lol

I just looked it up his corner stopped it in the 10th. Boxrec has it listed as a "RTD". It shows arreola has one loss by TKO on his record.

RTD
RTD - retired - is a term used when the referee stops a fight after a round has been completed. He may do so using his own or the doctor's judgement or when a fighter has indicated that he does not want to continue. RTDs are often recorded as TKOs and are included in a boxer's knockout total.

I think The Nightmare beats Mitchell. I dunno if he tries to humiliate Mitchell cuz I think his losses have really humbled him. On Wilder v Arreola I gotta say youth prevails. Chris has aged fast in the ring. Wilder will probably bust down Arreolas body from 3ft away then come over the top

That's what I remembered but after I saw that, I was all sorts of confused. I guess I had never seen that on someone's record that I remembered clearly. Fights like DLH vs Pac, it always showed TKO from what I remember.

Alright gambler's this could be a fight to make some money.

Kovalev is a slight favorite but hear me out:

Kovalev has never been past round 8. He has 19 KOs in 21 fights, 18 of which have came within the first three rounds!

Cleverly has a pretty good chin from what I've seen and has fast hands and can box pretty well.

Look for Cleverly taking Kovalev in to deep waters. If Nathan can survive the early onslaught, I have a feeling he can go the distance and since this fight is in Wales, he can get a decision.

It wouldn't be a bad bet at all to pick the underdog to win or put money on the fight going the distance.

I wouldn't drop a lot of cash on this one cus Kovalev does seem like a real killer, but his inexperience past round three could be his downfall here.

Lol man I thought too highly of Cleverly he never stood a chance! I thought he would box and use movement, try to get Kovalev into the later rounds but nope. He had too much confidence in his chin. After the first two rounds I could tell that covering up shit wasn't going to work, Kovalev throws shots from all angles eventually shots slip through.

Anyways Kovalev looks like a real beast, 175 has been put on notice. Kovalev vs Stevenson would be a banger.

Screw you and you trying to get me to bet against Kovalev 206!!!! lol jk That was a beatdown.

Kiko could be a factor. Probably has no chance against Rigo though. I'd LOVE to see him fight Mares but it will likely never happen and he's small for 122 by the looks of it. Tough loss for that kid though. He's been through a lot.

Good win for Barker. If Martinez wants what he thinks is a soft touch in his return, I'd like to see him give Barker a rematch.

Barker's manager already said after the fight he will not fight Golovkin next, probably a domestic fight back in England against someone like Murray or Macklin. Geale wants a rematch but he wont get it. And Stevens today agreed to terms to fight Golovkin Nov 2nd. Who knows what the hell Martinez will do early next year.

Kiko body punching was nice as hell. He beat the fight out of dude. Barker vs. Geale was a good fight. Both guys defenses sucked but they were trying to kill each other. Barker showed heart getting up from that body punch.

I'm glad Hershman is running HBO now. When Greenberg was in charge, no way in hell guys like Kovalev, Golovkin, Geale/Barker would be on the network. Hell, Dmity Pirog destroyed Danny Jacobs in one of the best KOs that year and then was completely shunned by HBO.

And Showtime is putting on great cards so this "cold war" while it prevents certain fights from happening we're getting great cards all around.
