You do sound like you are tooting your own horn. And homie! I am recognized in this scene. Anybody who is making noise either knows me or has heard about me. I have been apart of the music business since 99. I helped a lot of artists careers. Not just locally, but on a Major Record label scale. I helped promote for Naught By Nature, JaY'z Hard Knock Life Tour, Pink (Before she blewup), Warren G., Black Eyed Peas, Public Enemy, I am talking about promotion and marketing strategies. I negotiated a record contract for SCUM with Swizz Beats record label Full Surface Records. And they can vouch for that. They were going to be the 1st group signed to Full Surface back in 2000; before they fucked it up. and before that, I had a distribution deal for them with Southwest down in Texas, which at the time was the biggest independent distribution in the US.

I can give you names of Prominent Producers, Promoters and Artists who will speak highly of me. So please don't act like I don't know what I am talking about. And homie if you are a factor in the Northwest Hip Hop scene, then I know you personally or I know about you. And that's as real as it gets.

And they know me by Cin'atra.

And I can tell you with authority who got the streets on lock right now. It's Mafia, Twin G, Gangsta Nutt, Neema, 151, Dough, Outrageous and Reason Records.

And I do business with those who got their shit together. I am talking about business plans, promotional and markerting budgets and contracts for their artists.

Other than that. You do you and I will do me. It's nothing personal, but you do sound a lil brittle. I respect your opinion. and I wasn't trying to change it.

But to me, someone who doesn't give two fucks about "who you are in the rap game" it doesn't mean a whole lot. I don't care abotu Swizz Beats or anybody you listed bro. And that's NOT to insult you. Cause Seattle is not a gangster city. There might be gangsters, and killers, and gangster music, but when people in this region and other regions think of Seattle, they aren't thinking about gangsters and pimps and shit.

I do think that some of the hood music in Seattle is the best out of Seattle tho....and a lot of the concious rap is pretty garbage and has shitty sound quality.

You are right. However there are a lot of muthaphukaz that are hiding under rocks. They are just mentioning people that they are friends with or are related to. I am out in the streets promoting my group and selling albums and people come up to me bragging about you, Mafia and Gangsta Nutt. The reason I mentioned it was because that is a great feeling and achievement. That means that y'all still have the buzz to capitalize. That was all I was trying to say. Nothing disrespectful to anybody.

Fosho.... At the end of the day there shit going down everywhere you go. There's been times I was in seattle and got into it with cats and I don't even bang lol. Same as tacoma.. Everybody making good music need to come together like how 151 had lac of repsect. That was a good look.. Cats coming together is the key to moving ahead. There's a bigger pitcher out there. If there's four groups for labels working together thats four labels and how ever many people under them supporting each other. So when it come time to promote shows a lot more people are going to get the flyer and the information then there just being one group one label promoting the show feel me.

i know there's hoods. and people are gettin their doors kicked in and tied up in their homes. lol...but what i meant is that the overall "feel" of Seattle to the rest of society is that it's a liberal hippy town where everyone is nice to eachother and everyone drinks starbucks...just the stereotype that Seattle has from the outside....and sometimes from the inside.

i'm the one who said they like the hood shit from seattle! lol. although, some of what i've heard is not tight.

i'll check out the myspace. where have i been sinec that album? well i was goin to college but i graduated so now i got a job and bills...and that pretty much takes priority over buying cds when i can buy other shit with that money. plus, i don't like going to the store and buying a NW album for $10-15 when I could get it from the artist for $5-10. I'd rather put money straight in the artist's pocket pretty much, rather than buying for soundscan reasons.

Why you gotta come at me like an ass? I just dropped my opinion. A lot shit I've been hearing from seattle doesn't sound original at all. I haven't heard your shit so I'm not saying YOU personally, just generally speaking, but i will check it out.

It's just too me, if seattle has a sound or if seattle is ever going to blow up, it's not going to be the gangsta shit because thats not seattle, it's gotta be something else, that shit doesn't truly represent seattle imo. Yes, of course seattle has hoods, there are ruthless people everywhere, but overall seattle is a laid back city when compared to practically every other major city in america. Crime rate is low, etc. The people here care about world issues, i.e are socially conscious and class conscious. That's why I mentioned blue scholars because they represent that well and their music is original, it doesn't sound like anything else.
