He can be, he goes more for sound and emotion though. Which makes him enjoyable but also takes away from creativity, as I said earlier if your going to go for emotion at least write elaborate/deep lines.

why?? emo is emo right? why can tupac get the pass? cause he was rapping about struggles of everyday life in poverty? oh i get it. eminem cant rap about his emotions since there personal to him and tupac can because it hit more people lol. it's all fucking stupid. i personally dont think either of them are emo they just rap about what they want to rap about and dont make lovie dovie bullshit songs. i personally like tupac alot more than eminem but em would rap circles around pac and theres no denying that.

When em raps about his struggles he just sound emo even looks like 1, when pac does it he sound like a man....and yes em is more lyrical but that doesnt make you a better rapper especially when you dont got any interessting subjects to say...

He can outrap him with all the different styles hes used through the years
Hes a better producer
Hes completely on his own; genre and style wise, you'll never hear another rapper like him and if you do its someone that stole his approach
Seeing how theres a dime a dozen of rappers who rap depressively about their personal life its safe to say Aesop will age better too. People are already starting to get tired of Eminem while more people are getting into Aesop.

What do you mean people are "already" starting to get tired of him? Hes been around for more than ten years in the mainstream. A quick wiki search shows Recovery sold 5.7 million copies as of december 2010 and spent more time on the billboard 200 than any album since 2003. So after 10-15 years and with his last album being one of his most commercially successful, people are "already" starting to get tired of him?
To be honest, a lot of people didn't know that quality music existed below the mainstreams radar until the last few years. Still we don't hear that music played on the radio because the radio is owned by conglomerate corporations, who also own stakes in big labels. I'd say that's a big reason for the decline in Eminem's popularity, and other mainstream pop artists. The flood gates are open on what's out there now.
Also, you have to take into account that those huge numbers that labels throw out there, are just that, numbers. There's been instances where labels have bought copies themselves, or double-scanned albums to inflate sales for artists.
Its also hard to find hardcore Eminem fans anymore, everyone who grew up listening to him in their teens became doubtful around the Encore period. (It can be for many reasons, one big one like Roz mentioned was because people were finally branching out into quality underground music but Eminem was enjoyable as a teen-mainly for his immaturity and the fact he was one of the few rappers you could find)
Your point of bringing up his Recovery sales also holds no legitimacy since Relapse sold 4.5 million copies and look how many people hated that album. Its more or less old time fans putting faith in their artist and purchasing his album based on his past performances regardless of how bad the product is.
Out of the 50+ people I seen that got the album they all pretty much agreed there was only 2-3 good songs although there was a few others they could possibly grow into later. I do the same myself, mainly in movies I'll keep watching films from the same actor/director even if their going downhill because they had classics back in the day and I'm bound to be suprised if my expectations keep going lower with each release. Its a dedicated, but unenthusiastic fanbase anymore.
