His wordplay is flawless? You can't be serious. Dude spits nursery rhymes.
I feel ya on that one man, but it seems like that's all needed these days in the music business (nursery rhymes and a good beat) and hell it might go gold or platinum. Sorry but I do agree with Nas on the hip hop is dead, music has gone down the drain that's why peeps download music now because most shit is not worth paying for.

^^He dont suck at all. the simplicity of how he spits and how he presents himself on the beat is genius, this album like his last one is built for the whip especially for the subwoofer in the trunk, i couldnt work out the first track on inspiration until i jammed it in the ride and it all became clear, at first im like where is the beat, theres no drums, but when you hear it with the bass in the right place shit makes perfect sense, this album is a real grower

^^^i agree totally, said the same thing about the last album. these albums are made for people that have beat in their car. if you are listening to this shit on your computer speakers you arent hearing it how you should. both albums got 10x better when i put them in my truck

So what you are saying is that the beats make his songs tight? If so then you don't listen to music for the lyrics but don't worry most people do the same.

hahaha...yeah,you got me.

its funny how an opinion on one album cant make people judge everything about your music tastes

but you are right,i listen to immortal technique, pep love, sage francis, vakill, the grouch, louis logic, cage, gift of gab just for the beats

i usually ONLY listen to music for lyrics, just happens that sometimes when i mobbin in the truck i dont want to hear louis logic bitch about his girlfriend over a weak ass beat. i want some shit that knocks and is catchy as fuck.thats where jeezy comes in. its shear entertainment. thats why i dont judge jeezy for being weak,he makes entertaining albums. in the end thats all music for is right?

In the chapters of rap history MC Hammer will be talked about more then D.O.C. & MC Shan & Hammer wasnt even them niggaz caliber. So whatz your point?

I remember when 101 dropped a couple people @ my job waz gassing thiz nigga up & when I heard the CD I waz only feeling the beatz. Hip Hop iz fucked up when a rapper iz forever remembered for making great music when hiz flow & lyrics are garbage & the beatz(that he didn't even make)are the only thing that standz out.

Oh I forgot.....U think COS cd Siccmade Rituals(that has shitty beatz & repeated mediocre lyrics about how hard life iz /waz for him) was good so I wouldn't really expect u 2 understand what good music really iz.

WORDPLAY DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN COMPLEX LYRICS. HIS RHYMES MIGHT BE SIMPLE BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY AINT CLEVER.
When someone says "his wordplay is flawless", most people will assume that you're calling him a good lyricist. Whats so clelver about his rhymes bro? His rhyme scheme/wordplay is simp, his punchlines and metaphores are almost none existant, his multi syllables are nowhere to be found, his subject matter is completely unorginal and tired (how many songs can you make about slanging coke? we get it, you're a drug dealer). Most people like him because of his production, and even they admit that.

An artist like Devin The Dude haz simple word play but atleast he spitz hiz lyricz in a way that makes it seem like an average rapper couldn't of came up with those punchlines. Thatz what I love about Devin. Jeezy voice iz wack & hiz lyrics sound like he doesn't even put much of an effort into them. Lyrics aren't everything but they are an important ingredient when makin a quility track. I'm not hearing that in any of these trap rappers.

Jeezy is raw... beats are amazing, and he may not be the most amazing lyricist out, but his shit is super catchy, and he has some dope punchlines....
I bought his first album 101 when it was first released last year, an slapped it in my whip and headphones for days... Idk I like his new one quite as much as the first, but itz still a siick album.
