I don't see tech on a mixtape regardless of whether it benefits homeboy or not...

it would defy the overall quality and approach of his style IMO - tech needs to keep all that content and shit his workin' with for the LP's
couldn't agree more..

if your gonna put your heart and time into something, it should be all your own work and you should get recognized for it. like making an album as opposed to writing some mediocre shit on someone elses beat

if that makes sense

Mixtapes fail hardcore.
Wtf are you on? I mean, it'd be cool if he dropped one a year or something, but I like hearing shit from dude on a limited basis. It keeps it fresh and innovative. It's not like they improve sales or anything. Especially if you're already a pretty well-known cat among the hip-hop community...like Tech. Your casual music fan knows nothing about mixtapes for the most part.
YOU FROM THE MIDWEST SO I WOULD'NT EXPECT YOU TO UNDERSTAND...THEY DON'T IMPROVE SALES..LMAO!!! LIL WAYNE FLIPPIN A MILLI 1ST WEEK IS FROM MIXTAPES DUMBASS! YEAH HE'S WELL KNOWN TOO... WHERE DO YOU THINK THE HYPE WAS BUILT UP FROM? CASUAL MIDWEST FANS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MIXTAPES, LIKE YOUR SELF

How is that album by the way Sig?
1. That Dirty - 10/10
2. Beatin Up The Block - 6/10
3. Time Is Money - 6.5/10 (stop with the hey!! chants in the beats. that shit is more overused than auto tune :smt011 )
4. Chiefin On Haze (Original Version) - 5/10 (Da kush version shits on this one)
5. T-Rock Speaks (Interlude) - no rating
6. I Got Dat - Area 51 (T-Rock, Slikk, Yung Hazardus) 7/10
7. All I See Is A feat. Yung Hazardus - 6.5/10
8. Fuckin Wit Pimpin (Original Version) - 6/10 (da kush version also shits on this one)
9. Hate The Game feat. C-Mob & Reek - 7/10 (was looking forward to this one,T-Rock came correct....pretty mediocre verses by mob and reek)
10. Pull Up To Da Light (Luney Tunez Remix) - 6.5/10
11. Get My Weight Up feat. Yung Hazardus - 6/10
12. Who Is Area 51 (Interlude) - no rating
13. Dat Gangsta Gangsta - Area 51 (T-Rock, Slikk) feat. C-Mob - (10/10 One of the hardest tracks in the history of the rap game!!!!!!!!!!!) the only reason i dropped ten dollars on this shit
14. Hustle Hard feat. Mr. Sche & Yung Hazardus - 7.0/10
15. Mean Mug (Mossberg Remix) - The best remix on here
16. Flossin - 7.5/10
17. Candy Red Lac feat. Reek - 8.5/10
18. Beatin Down Tha Block - Area 51 (T-Rock, Yung Hazardus, Slikk) - 7.5/10

I think my expectations were to high for this one. I was expecting 420 reincarnated part II or some shit, but ended up getting da kush shitty leftovers/remixes with perfume sprayed on top lol. And rock must be getting paid because he raps about flossin and having money a lot more lately. He deserves every cent so its all good. Dat gangsta gangsta saved the whole mixtape in my opinion. If that wasn't on here I would be even more disappointed. It'll probably be on another rock solid release in the future but what can u do?

I wouldn't recommended unless you're a hardcore T-Rock fan. I was expecting more, but it's mediocre in my opinion.

They don't, unless magazines decide to cream all over them and have a write-up about 'em, which is rarely the case...Unless you're Wayne. The media being on his nuts is what helped propel him to a million plus first week. Little white suburban kids will hop up on anything black kids tell 'em to.

What's me being from the midwest have to do with anything? I don't follow much music out of the midwest for one, because most of it's garbage. Get your shit straight, son.

I'MA ANSWER THIS AND LEAVE YOU ALONE SHORTY...THE MEDIA FRENZY SURROUNDING LIL WAYNE WAS GENERATED FROM MIXTAPES, PERIOD POINT BLANK. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT, IT'S NO BIG DEAL.

I'M A HIP-HOP HEAD AND WAS RAISED ON MIXTAPES. IF YOU WANTED THE FLYEST, NEWEST SHIT TO LISTEN TO-YOU STAYED UP ON THE LATEST TAPES...DON'T NOBODY LISTEN TO THE RADIO AND THE DAYS OF LISTENING TO A FULL ALBUM OF HEAT ROCKS HAS BEEN GONE FOR A WHILE....
BESIDES CHI-TOWN & AND MAYBE CLEVELAND IN MORE RECENT YEARS, MIXTAPES ARE NOT REALLY STAPLES IN THE MID-WEST. THE MID-WEST IS ALWAYS THE LATEST TO BE UP ON SHIT THO.....

MIXTAPE ARE NOT FOR EVERYBODY....THIS WHOLE THREAD IS WHY DON'T TECH DROP MIXTAPES? I THINK HE SHOULD DROP MIXTAPES/STREET ALBUMS, I GUESS THEIR NOT FOR EVERYBODY.........

JAY-Z HOPPIN ON LIL WAYNE "A MILLIE" BEAT AND TURNING IT INTO "A BILLIE" LET'S ME UNDERSTAND THAT ONE OF HIP HOPS BIGGEST STARS UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF MIXTAPES! AND HE'S SUPPOSEDLY RETIRED....

U EITHER GET IT OR YOU DON'T.

1 MILLION
