tech needs to make tapes thats the way to get the hype. look at papoose he just made mixtapes now hes on dre beats
Yeah man.....30 mixtapes and no mainstream money to show for it other than Touch It. He's the smart one. Overpopulating your core fan base can also lead to disinterest in what you have to say on record.

Well, then you can make a thread dedicated to how it will outsell Tech. In the mean time, I'm gonna go stand over by the bar and give a fuck less.

Obviously not, look at what they did for Weezy.

A mixtape is only as bad as the person who's flowing over the beat. That's why so many people liked Flamez. Why everyone liked "Da Drought" is beyond me.
I don't mean bullshit as far as promotion goes.
I mean, I don't really see Tech rapping about nothing over other people's beats.

I don't see tech on a mixtape regardless of whether it benefits homeboy or not...

it would defy the overall quality and approach of his style IMO - tech needs to keep all that content and shit his workin' with for the LP's

Tech is more of an artist than a rapper. With him doing so many concept songs and whatnot I don't think mixtapes aren't where it's at for him. It's like it would be a waste for him to get on other peoples beats.

I'M NOT GON ELABORATE TOO MUCH, BUT MIXTAPES ARE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS OF THIS HIP HOP SHIT....FOR ANY ARTIST ON ANY LEVEL.

JUST ASK, ANY EAST COAST RAPPER,LIL WAYNE, T.I.P., YOUNG JEEZY, RICK ROSS, KANYE WEST, SNOOP DOGG, MR. FAB, ALL OF HOUSTON & DALLAS RAPPERS, I COULD GO ON FOREVER.......HOW INTEGRAL MIXTAPES ARE IN THEIR OPERATION AND I BETCHA IT'S UP THERE

NOT TO MANY MID-WEST ARTIST UNDERSTAND MIXTAPES AND THEIR IMPORTANCE....CAN'T BLAME 'EM THOUGH, IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT MARKET

IF TECH DID A MIXTAPE PROPERLY, I THINK IT WOULD HELP HIM GET SOME OF HIS OLD FANS BAKC.

ALSO MIXTAPES OR STREET ALBUM DON'T HAVE TO BE ALL OTHER PEOPLES BEATS, IT'S GOOD TO HAVE AT LEAST 5 OR 6 ORIGINAL TRACKS AS A MINIMUM.
***JACKIN BEATS AND PUTTIN THEM TOGETHER ON A CD IS NOT A MIXTAPE EITHER IF NOT DONE PROPERLY.... IT'S A DEMO! THATS WHAT PEOPLE USE TO DO IN THE 80'S............

THAT'S MY 2 CENTS, OH YEAH I'M A KANSAS CITY MIXTAPE KING TOO...

Mixtapes fail hardcore.
Wtf are you on? I mean, it'd be cool if he dropped one a year or something, but I like hearing shit from dude on a limited basis. It keeps it fresh and innovative. It's not like they improve sales or anything. Especially if you're already a pretty well-known cat among the hip-hop community...like Tech. Your casual music fan knows nothing about mixtapes for the most part.
