romped out norteno is one of the few traccs you hear mousie bangin on .....he said himself out his own lips thats not what hes about.....he only does it when hes asked to as a feature basically....his solo shit isnt the same....he come gangsta dont get me wrong....but if you didnt know shit about him being a norteno you wouldnt judge him by that standard...youd see him for what he is....an artist....

i know your not knockin anybody.. but there are plenty of homeboy artists who dont bang super hardcore in there music but still get hated on because they bang period.. thats the whole point of my view on the hyphy movement.. it doesnt rep/respect those in the bay who do.. i dont disrespect homeboys who are into it tho.. what the next man does dont concern me..

nah.. i was gonna add more but i jus got off work a half hour ago and didnt finish.. i was gonna say that its more then jus them not doin a track tho and about how they gave shot outs and shiet.... but why would he have done a track with lynch if he wasnt gonna appeal to the gang scene...

I dont hate the hyphy movement but its appeal is lost for me.. im happy the bay gettin expozure dont get me wrong, but whats givin it its expozure is something that doesnt represent me.. im from the bay before hyphy was..

Aside from Mainstream rappers like Snoop Doggy Dogg and Mack 10 (cuz alot of different factors are involved with their success, not just talent alone), what about Brotha Lynch and X-Raided and all them? They talk about "Garden Blocc" in almost every song, talking about shit that only happens in Sacramento and they seem to have built a solid fan base outside of the crip listeners. How is it a white kid can appreciate music from black gangster rappers when he can't relate to any of it? Black is a dominant culture in America from music to clothes to whatever. Ice Cube can rap about white devils and white people'll buy it. All of Black Market can rap about being Garden Block Crips killing rivals and everyone will buy it. Nortenos mention "scraps" and Norte in one or two songs and it's "people can't relate to that shit! We don't understand spanish! We're not Nortays! Rap about something we can all relate to."

Shit, most homeboy rap cds don't even mention all that hard core shit, at least not on the solo albums. Only on compilations like GUN, NORTHERN GHETTO BOYZ, NORTHSIDE STORIES, and those albums weren't meant for squares. Big Tone, Sir Dyno, Woodie, rap about all kinds of things but people just want to dismiss shit.

All of those Blackmarket albums were banged out. Aside from a few tracks they talked all about gangbanging in Sac. From album titles, song titles, songs themselves, you didn't have to be a gangster to know what they claimed, if you didn't know they were Garden Blocc Crips you had to be deaf and blind.
