-Offer more mentoring programs for help with life and school.
-Impliment after school programs/activities for kids.
-Rid any bad influence (such as addiction or crime related actions).
-Provide a positive role model or influence.
-Teach them the history of their culture, where they stand at the present time, and what it takes to make a change. It is imperetive they understand they are the seeds to a change.
-Parents need to make a big impact in their lives such as providing college funds and keeping them out of trouble.
-Show statistics such as those I provided to MeloTrauma and how they are at risk.

Education is the key, and I'm not talking about school. They don't teach everything a young black man needs to know in order to make it in his upbringing. These, that I have listed, are just a start. They will provide opportunity and awareness for black youth to make a change. Once the ball is rolling, then it only gets easier. A youths peers play one of the biggest impacts in his life. If a black youth goes to school and sees that his peers are going to these after school programs, he will likely follow. When he goes to highschool and see's his peers preparing for college, he will likely follow. Getting the ball rolling is the hard part because it is to heavy for one man to push. We need everyone.
