Im a server until my comedy career is in full swing and you should always (unless its very bad service)tip 20%....I work for Dicks Last resort and make 2.13 an hour in Tennessee...I dont fuck with peoples food but if i recognize a bad or non tipper coming back its gonna take you a long time to get anything and im gonna be out back smoking while youre waiting on refills and shit and im probably gonna take 45 minutes to get you your check unless i have people waiting to be seated in your place...If you cant afford to tip you need to keep your ass at home and cook for yourself...If everyone stopped tipping no one would work as a server and youd have to make your own food anyways...Also I have to give part of my tips to the bartender and the busboy and at some places they automatically take a % of your money and give it to them weather you made it or not....When you dont tip youre fucking over a lot of people

depends on the service, but i usually double the tax when i tip. if service is shitty they either get nothin or the change in my pocket to insult they ass. if service is on top of things through my the whole meal they'll get more than double the tax. some of yall cheap as fuck damn lol!

overall i think tipping should depend on the speed and quality of service given to you, not because your obligated.

it isn't mandatory, but it's pretty much a given that if you go out to eat at a restaurant where you sit down are waited on, that you leave a tip. there's certain rules to society that most normal people follow. if you can't afford to tip, don't go out to eat, period.

I believe you. What was your point saying this to me? I know how the tip game works. Tip big and the server hooks you up sometimes, tip small and get fucked. You didn't prove anything. I tip 15% minimum but only because it's the norm. Not because I feel like waiters earn it.
