U slipp out, while countering, moving lateral, with feet goin side to side, he baccs off u square up. That happened MOST. Ok, same situation but this time u slip out, go lateral, feet goin side to side, he still on ur line, do u keep lateral when he's on u? Feet side to side? No. Naturally u wanna create the most space to square up. U can't do that goin lateral against the cage when hes on u. U gonna stay in that same situation AGAINST the cage where Diaz strentgh is. U goin sideways, he goin forward, whos movin slower? The guy movin wit feet side to side. So to create that space, so to square bacc up ur gonna wanna run "forward", hence "jog" for a second to get the fight bacc in the center of the cage where Diaz has no strentgh.
