Machida did jack shit to prove he is the champion. The Pride GP Sho-goon showed up today and he wrecked shop. I guarantee you Dana said in his ear that he won and was fucking robbed.

Machida could barely walk at the end of the fight.. Wasn't doing anything offensively at all..

And the fans at the arena, who don't hear Joe Rogan's commentary all saw Machida won as well.. Fucking bullshit..

Rogan wasn't even the one saying all the stuff about Machida winning either. It was mostly goldberg because it was fucking obvious that he beat the shit out of Machida at his own game.. CompuStrike and everything will back that up. Machida didn't really land shit. He got outcounted, out striked, and out paced. More damage was inflicted on him everywhere, too.. From the legs, to the midsection to his face. He didn't win a single aspect of the fight.

Im a fan of Machida i really wanted him to win, but come on you think he really did enough to win that fight?! NO..IMO I'll agree with you in saying Machida "didnt" get his ass kicked, cuz he didnt he got his legs taken out from under him and it affected his fight game dramatically IMO, which is why he wasnt able to implement his strategy which i think cost him the fight! ...anyway i think Shogun set a Blueprint into defeating Machida and Machida needs to work on not letting that happen ever again.

Shogun nullified Machida's MAIN TECHNIQUE (straight left counter) by landing leg and body kicks (and a couple of knees) before the left could get there. Machida wants to parry your measuring punch with his right and catch you with that straight left. Notice how in the 3rd or 4th round Machida realized that shit wasn't working so he switched stances. The only real solid punch he landed was a straight right in the 3rd or 4th and Shogun took it like it was nothing. Shit, they were icing his legs AFTER the first round. You have to assume they were ready for his legs to take a beating.

Even when Machida tried to throw his leaping knees, they did nothing and Shogun immediately clinched. It didn't look like either one of them got rocked but Shogun landed the more effective strikes and demonstrated more Octagon control imo
