U know what I just thought of? What the fuck is Strange Music doing? First we get Kutt saying he isn't happy with the fans cuz he dont get album sales, now we get Tech saying fuck u to whoever doesn't like Gates Mixedplate. I mean what the fuck is going on here? Why did I pay money for this. Did it ever cross ur mind that the album sales aren't high and all the negative feedback might just might come from putting out a product that's SUBPAR. Kinda seems like they turning on their current fans for the possibility of having other ones....

Look I buy every single cd that comes out, listen to Stange Artists more then any other rapper, and go to every single concert when it comes to town......but I swear to god if Krizz Kaliko starts complaining about the fans aka the people who are responsible for putting food on the plate on Shock Treatment....then I'm fucking done with this shit
Haha...I somewhat remember something kind of similar happening with a single many months ago...

Basically, all artists grow and evolve over time...every artist does it, some just more extreme than others.

Maybe Tech feels like making "party" music right now because that's the mood he is in. It seems to me that how Tech is: he makes music from his soul and right now, his soul is livin the life. And people want to fault him for that? How fuckin selfish can you possibly be?

Its been said numerous times BY Tech himself that when he made Anghellic, he was in a difficult place emotionally, thus spawning that album. Unless he goes through another depressive mode in his life, you can forget ever trying to capture that magic again.

And to think, people wanted SOOOOO bad for Tech to get "his dues" and now that he is finally heading in that direction, people are all pissy about it.

very well said. tech makes music from his soul so if this is what mood he is in, then good for him. When i'm in that party mood, i'll have a cd to listen to. we got some fickle people on here i think (or maybe the nature of a forum is that people are quick to complain)

i love the idea of collabos, i like that it is a cd and not a mixtape, and i see them different as solo albums so i dont judge them against solo albums.

Completely agree. But Im not bitching about the subject matter, I have no problem with party tracks, Im bitching about the beats being generic, & the hooks being not so good, & just the overall quality of the music. I think that's what alot of ppl on here are bitching about. The party tracks on every other album he's done, were just plain better IMO.

How the hell is it selfish? Nobody is saying "yo Tech, fuck up your life so you can make good music again", people are simply saying "we don't like this, we're not buying it." And because we don't like the music the people here are assuming that we're mad that Tech's happy?

It's very simple but you guys are over complicating the criticism this album is receiving. If you like the album, that's cool. But at least use reasons that are relevant.

I'm glad Tech is happy, I'm not the type to wish harm to others.

This album had the potential to be really good, but most of these hooks are just plain garbage. Tech's still spittin, most of the features came correct, but to hear the positives I have to listen to these damn hooks 3 or 4 times on every track.

I find it ironic that on the hip hop dx singles page for "Paper" the first comment I read was "hook is ass" sums up this album for me.

On the plus side, this album beats damn hard in the trunk

I dont have time to read all the post but well said KCcat....

Most people on here dont like mixed plate because they cant relate to it. They dont get money, party and fuck bitches.

Artist change and evolve and shit. You dont see Jay Z rappin about sellin a brick anymore. He is at a different place in his life.

People gonna complain about fake ass artist then gonna want tech to do some dark shit. He obviously aint in that state of mind anymore. Do you want him to fabricate it? Exactly. Go listen to some real horrorcore if you want that depressed shit.

No, no, no.

I don't like the album because the beats and hooks aren't up to snuff.

I don't give two fucks about what Tech writes about, as long as it's at a level of quality that he has established with his prior releases. This album is not on the same level, in my opinion.

Actually, the only thing on the album I had a problem with lyrically besides the hooks was Tech's line about his dick. I don't want to hear that shit. Other than that, rap about whatever the fuck you want to.

Well if you did have time to read the posts, alot of us are saying its not that great because of the beats & hooks, not the subject matter.

Who is "you guys"?

Great. Than expect more party, generic music, because that's obviously the place he is in emotionally at the moment. He obviously is feeling the beats, and thats how any GOOD artist gets down. Get used to it.
