Can't believe how black and white people are about this situation, especially Tech. So just because it's party music, it has to sound like shit? Party music is no excuse for putting together, what I think, is a sloppy album. Also, it's not just the dark fans that are giving this album backlash, it's a majority of the fans, so that's saying something. Now it seems like people are crawling out of the woodwork trying to justify this album with every bullshit excuse possible. If you like it, then you like it, if not then too bad, but don't try to speak on others behalf and try to make reasons for why a certain person does or doesn't like it.

If you like GMP, then you like party music and nothing else, if you didn't, then you're wishing negativity toward Tech to depress him into coming out with another dark album.

You people are fucking ridiculous.

What is ridiculous is the people that continue to whine about how bad they consider this album. You don't like it? Fine, say you don't, then move onto another album. I swear this leak was given away for Whine-teen whinety-whine.

Ok there are a few of us here that may actually remember how Tech career has really developed. This is NOT a knock on fans he has accumulated in the last 5 to 6 years, and I repeat it is not a knock on you guys. I was really close to this thing as it developed and I remember the same kinda shit being said when Anghellic dropped, then when Absolute Power hit people were complaining that it was too party and that the beats were whack and where did he get them from ( I know for a fact that alot of people hated the drum and bass) . Then everyone complained that he took to long between releases for Everready and at the time some people were really saying "I can't believe we waited this long for this, there are only a couple of real bangers on this album" they said "you could have taken this song off and put this song from the sampler on there" Then when MLK dropped they said it was a bad attempt at a mixtape with too many songs about sex. Then alot of us complained about the features on Killer. It really seems like fans have always picked everything apart with Tech. According to us Sickology had the wrong title for the music that was on there. Alot of the people that I have turned on to Tech over the years complained about KOD, and now people are picking apart this album too. Maybe that is what being talented and famous gets you, but good God Damn, he is an artist trying to please his fans. He is making an effort on alot of fronts and he is making history. The cool thing is through all of that is how most of you became his fans, HE WAS PISSING SOMEONE ELSE OFF WHILE HE WAS GAINING YOUR SUPPORT. And now he is "dissappointing" you while he gains some more fans, who he will in turn disappoint when he makes some shit you love. That is what happens when you are a TRUE crossover artist. When people from all musical genres love you, you have truly accomplished something. Give this man a break, he has given his fans his life, and we have enjoyed it. Support him while they see the grand plan come to fruition. The story will be told, he gets closer and closer every day. It is because of us.

He does have a point though. There are a lot of people who like what I think are to be complete shit albums, and it's a matter of taste. He just about hit it head on with the album situation too. A lot of people complained a lot about each album. I used to see a lot of complaints about Everready, and now everyone loves it. I still personally think it's an average album. I liked a few songs off of it, but that was it. That's where taste comes in. Still, I think GMP sounds sloppy compared to Tech standards.

I've also noticed that almost every Tech fan absolutely loves Anghellic, and almost every non-Tech fan completely hates it. Not really relevant, but it's something I've picked up on.

Just wanted to post something to help prove my point. Here is a thread from back in the day. This was in between Absolute Power and Everready and 4 years after the release of Anghellic. There are 20 responses about Tech's best album. There is only one person that says Absolute Power. The two main responses are Calm before the Storm and Anghellic. Absolute Power got no love. Fans really didn't start appreciating that album for a while after it came out. And it was FREE.

Tech: all is ask is one dark song per album...usually it's the last song. Every Strange Music album needs to have a dark song at the end...and then at the end of the song...it should have that "Strange!!!!...Music" quote on it...btw...who is that saying that? I like the dark song on the Mixed plate...i think its called "I need more angels in my life"./..or something like that...I really like that song. I also like...F U Pay Me. I think this album is gonna grow on me a lot...Far Out is another banger. Thanks for the high quality release as always...fuck these haters!

tech makes music from his soul so if this is what mood he is in, then good for him.
I think you guys are giving Tech way too much credit.

Tech makes music from his soul... LoL. Tech was in a bad place when he made Anghellic. He's a fucking rapper, just like anyone else, and honestly it seems like he might have had it better than some rappers out there. Eminem grew up in a trailer. Yippy. I don't hear people talking about Eminems fucking soul every three posts.

Planet Rock was on Anghellic. That's not a dark track. Einstein was on Anghellic... so I guess tech was only in a "dark" place for one third of that album?
Well if you did have time to read the posts, alot of us are saying its not that great because of the beats & hooks, not the subject matter.
I'm saying it's because of subject matter. We have album upon album of Tech talking about his fuckin' dick.

I'm no longer buying into this "Yall hate me when I'm happy" bullshit. Like I need a guilt trip from a guy that just got a ticket for driving a Ferrari too fast. (If that ever really happened)

I just think that maybe Tech doesn't need to put every rapper in KC on his cd's. I remember when it was kind of necessary because every whiny failed Bravo in KC was like "Why don't Tech help out people in KC anymore"... But now he's had half the state on his albums, why continue to make them? They're never very good... At least 70% of the features are skip-able.
