I'm still a fan, but I will not be buying this album. This is the first Tech album I won't buy. I don't mind most of the songs besides the chorus's, I love KC music and was already familiar with the featured artists. This album was way more mainstream than previous releases, but Tech prepared me for that after KOD, you could tell from interviews and Last Sad Song. I want to see Tech succeed and make it mainstream dude deserves it, and has supplied me with music I've loved for the last 12 years of my life.

That said, these songs seem lazy, and I hope the solo album is much better. I don't just love the "dark" music either, however I love "good" music. If this was just a fluke that's fine, if these horrible chorus's, and some of these simple beats become a staple then I hope Strange is ready to shell out big bucks on radio/video play, because that's going to be what it takes to really capture new fans.

I've been rooting for Tech since before Strange Music was started. I want to see Tech make it BIG TIME even if I don't like the music as much anymore, dude has given me more through his music than any other artist, and was always a stand up guy the few times I've met him. I just hope all these other people don't turn their backs because if Tech's not accepted again in the mainstream world then the true fanbase could have moved on by then as well. In the Mainstream, artist are hot for 5 mins and the industry blinks it's eye and the fame is gone.

Well Tech you can't please everybody all the time. I take all the albums for what they are. Different for a reason. Most artists don't even put that much thought into an album If you should happen to go to a spanish speaking country for a while I can't wait to hear that album. LOL.

I'm gonna say this then I'm done with this thread. Tech keep doing you.

10 plus years of doing this Strange Music shit and your hella successful being yourself. No one can take that shit away.

Like you said if your writing you life and your lifes good for the moment then let that shit show in your music.

If folks on here can't dig that Techs shit is gonna change as time changes then fuck it.

Persony I WANT to hear Tech and DJ Whokid do some shit. Or collab with "mainstream" artists.

You realize that for the last few albums Tech has done music for the "fans" and the shit was good. Why can't he do songs for himself and for KC just like every other rapper out there does shit to rep where there from.

And to people out here saying there not buying another Tech album.....boo fucking hoo yall cats are lame for whining on the interwebs like this.

I love you man... you're a cool dude and you always back me up...

But the album is wack, Travis won't let us post negative reviews... The whole thing stinks of BITCH.
Well Zer0 you gotta look at it from business sense, some people will love this album and others wont, and I think on some level they expect that with any release. However it would just not be good business to let a bunch of people bash your release on a forum that bears your labels name and logo after it was stolen and leaked a month early. It would kinda be like letting someone in your store to talk and bash your product based on their opinion to people that havent heard it. They are still in the business of selling albums and it doesn't make sense to allow opinion that may detour somebody from buying your album without them hearing it first, atleast on your own forum. Even though we disagree I appreciate the props and I will return the favor.

This cd isnt even bad, its not Techs best work, but i enjoy it. Its funny reading through this forum and just because tech is in the light now and is living it up, your not going to purchase his albums anymore and so on.

"lets get some of this shit clear
i aint switchin to main stream only
what is happening is you watchin the mainstream go me"

i think you are off the mark. Tech can do whatever the hell he wants, but that doesnt mean we all have to like it and go buy it. nobody is whining, just stating our opinions. i havent seen anybody say they're completely done with tech or not going to buy another album, just that theyre not gonna buy THIS album. Tech will always be one of my favorite rappers, but just because im a tech fan and have bought his other albums doesnt mean im going to blindly support him regardless of if i actually like what he is making or not. Why should i spend my hard earned money on something im not even gonna listen to? i might as well just send strange a check for $15 bucks.

I respect people's honesty for real. Everybody has their opinions. I'm glad people are expressing what they really think. Personally, I'm not feelin this album at all. I understand the whole "Tech does what he's going through at that time". But I like Tech because he DOESN"T do KC Shit. I mean even the intros to some of these tracks show no originality. I'm not trying to hate, but everything I love about Tech isn't reflected at all in this album. Sure, I love the dark shit...but I'm very open to the lighter stuff. But this album makes Sickology sound amazing!

This isn't directed to anyone in particular, but if you don't like it, then don't listen to it.

My thoughts are...even if he hits the mainstream scene and I don't like any of his songs after that, I will still love Tech N9ne for providing me with years of great and passionate music, and I will always have a level of respect for him because of that.

IMO, Tech deserves every amount of success he has achieved and has yet to achieve. Even if I never listen to him again or his music never appeals to me here on out, I wish him all the success in the world.

Live it up Tech, do wat the fuck you want to.

i dont want tech to be in a down mood to make the music i like.. i didnt think AP was all that "down" .. when i said neutral i just meant there must be a 50/50 point where he can continue to do some killer shit without letting it all get to him.. it dont have to be "evil" or "scary" just godda be the unique tech like 80% of his previous work..

So for the most part nobody's even bothering to actually defend the music. For the most part everybody's agreed that it's not that good of a CD.

Tech, nobody's arguing about the authenticity of your CD. I'm sure we all can agree that the songs are a reflection of what you life is at the moment. But that sole fact does not make your music automatically dope. Nobody listens to a song and then does a background check on the rapper before they decide if they like it or not; people like music based on whether it sounds good to them or not. This album wasn't well-received and you turn around and give a big "fuck you" to the fans while listing reasons to why you think we don't like it? That's fucked up. It's wonderful that you're happy but you don't see us buying the CDs of every happy musician.

And like the thread originally stated, this CD will probably please a ton of other people. But don't bitch when I'm not one of them. Don't forget, people listen to shitty music all the time. Just because there will always be somebody satisfied doesn't mean shit

Make more AP.

So I can DL it, since I'll never buy a Tech cd again.
Haha I'm with you.

Sickology was the beginning of the end for me. KOD had some stellar tracks, but I wasn't that into it for the most part.

As it stands now, Killer is the last Tech album I'll have bought.

I can honestly say that this thread helped me realize that I'm tired of talking about Tech N9ne.

The dude's gonna make music according to what sounds good to him, despite my preferences.

Simply put, I'm not the artist.
