hate it or not,this breed of bad brews will die out and only the real will survive,thats why im not tryin to fuck with rap music no more,im finna go strictly pure hip hop or just that and R&B
theres only a few artist in the rap world that im willin to fuck with,for the time being i need to eat (get money) so i can support myself and my fam,so i have no choice but to try n flip these beats for these so called rappers,why? cuz they have money that i need right now...but thats not wat i wanna truly be known as...a rap producer.

It's too fuckin' bad people are speaking up on change in 2007, when I was shootin' for it in 2001 and everybody, especially on this board, told me I was a fuckin' moron (in so many words). I'm still a black sheep in this region because I won't conform.
There was another post on here, about whether hip-hop is ART or POISON! Well, the shit being supported out here right now, all the copycat shit, is poison. Folks are so quick to bash the shit I talk about, because I'm not acting retarded...but I make MUSIC! Khayree hit it on the head right here, folks need to make MUSIC in order for it to be considered art. You don't jump in the booth, one take each verse, put a bunch of sloppy ad-libs in it and say it's a wrap if you are serious. Cats need to start puttin' substance in their shit...step-recording (or punching) their vocals so the shit comes out even and clean, and make music. Did anybody ever realize that the songs on the radio, until crap started invading, all had at LEAST one tiny guitar riff in it? Small shit like that makes the biggest difference, believe it or not.
It was the big homie PLAYA RAE who told me, about a year or so ago, that there's more to making a SONG than jumpin' in the booth and knockin out vocals in 15 or 20 minutes. I didn't realize that until I started working with PRODUCERS, who actually guide a song to completion...from recording the vocals to the final mixdown.
My point is, we need to create music out here...and stop bitchin' about why we aren't makin' it. Quinn is a damn good example of somebody that is goin UP because he is a true artist...very versatile. But folks have to realize, not every song can be gutter or stupid...there's a lot more to life than that, and life is art in the making. My 2 pennies.

See, that's because the audience has changed. I remember when Hall Of Game dropped...that shit was big...real nice album right there. Unfortunately, the young folks don't want to hear shit like that. It's not so much the artist, it's the changing of the buyers, feel me? Yea, a lot of artists lose their roots...but a lot of artists don't...they just change with the times, because this here music is a career, not just shit for the block...that doesn't pay the bills. But I definitely hear what you're saying...

but r we seriousley supposed to be so impressed that you said the word stupid on wax before, im sure plenty of people had used it in the sense that you did before you did whether it was on wax or not...people extended the words meaning and made it into something big and it sounds like your butt hurt and trying to get some credit for it, acting like your the godfather of going stupid or sum shit. congradulations..mac dre was lightweight influenced by your use of the word, thats the only credit you deserve IMO
lol i cant believe you just preached all this stuff and talked down on other artists, and then when the first song I hear when i go to the YBB myspace is people talkin about doin drugs, poppin pills, and sayin tha words stupid and go dumb
IMO theres alot of creative rap out in the bay and alot of non-creative rap out. its up to the fans to support whats good and whats not. its a waste of time telling someone your music sucks you need to make it better because if theyre movin units and feedin their families off it, theyre not going to try and change it and improve it.

This is what happens when folx arent up on their history.. speaking as a yung'n myself, evryone claims to be "Mr. Bay Area" & "King of Hyphy" & think they knw evrything about the Bay's history but they have no idea what the roots of Bay Area Hip Hop is all about. Their mind expands to 2001 til now & have no idea about people that paved the way like you & many others did for the Bay Area. But history will repeat itself when it's not learned the first time so this will continue to happen unfortunately. Real recognize real but the uneducated stays blind.
