actually eating bugs is where the world is headed

if you aint never been lost in the woods, hungry, cold and tired, you wont understand why a lil handful of ants, or a couple wood/earth worms can become good food, it might not taste good, but once you know what you can eat, you stand a better chance to survive in the wilderness if that happens to be the case

ive eaten a few bugs in the wild, my brother is an outdoors kinda person and he been teaching me what plants and animals are the ones you should track and eat

The best tasting chicken I have made to date. I let it marinate for 3 days in the fridge. You can't tell it by the picture, but this thing was flavored to perfection and retained all of the juices(probably due to the bone still being in- rib and breast). Some yellow rice with asparagus on the side.

that same place also has tarantula meat when it's in season. ugh...

i'm scared of spiders; there's no way i could bring myself to eat one.
When I was just a wee lad my mom put me in the tub. She left for a second, came back, and I was sitting in the tub munching on a spider.

These days I freak out if a spider is within 10 feet of me. I fuckin' HATE spiders a little more than I hate bees and birds.

lately when i cook chicken legs/thighs on the grill

i use the tongs to pull the meat away from the bone a little bit, and if im using bbq sauce, i like to get it inside the chicken leg, so it flavors every bite

but thats why i brought this up, i never dry out the chicken even tho i pull it from the bone slightly, it seems to come out more moist, and it also cooks the meat much better, not to mention the added flavor of the bbq throughout the whole leg/thigh

edit: anyone know a tried and true method for making fried chicken extra crispy? when i double dip in batter, the inside layer remains soggy and doesnt taste very good
