Went to California Pizza Kitchen over the weekend. Got the bbq chicken & Applewood Bacon pizza. Traded a slice with my girl who got the bacon/avocado/chicken idk what else pizza. Mine was the shit.

Finished with a warm butter cake with ice cream on top. It was my first time trying that type of cake and it was delicious

The dessert looks delicious but I fucking hate CPK so I can't prop you, sorry.
Lol jerk. Y u no like CPK?

CPK is not just a pizza parlor right?
They have some sandwiches and pastas. The food is solid but the pizza's are overpriced imo. $12-15 for the pizza in the pic I posted. Don't know if they have them up north, but BJ's has WAY better pizza (deep dish), and they brew their own beer

My bday lunch earlier from San Pedro Fish Market...garlic bread, 1/2lb scallops, 1/2 bbq fish filet, 1lb shrimp, and 3lbs of snow crab with bell peppers, onions, and potatoes. Of course I washed it down with a beer.

^everything you need wet and dry ingredients^

that lil pinch of nutmeg made it pop. never had any on hand so my calculations of just adding a pinch was correct. nutmeg got a strong taste but i got it just right.

a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of baking powder and a couple table spoons of sugar and of course flour as much as you need to make as much as you want.

DSCN0209 by Manniacal, on Flickr

first mix the dry ingredients and then mix in the wet: milk, 2 or 3 eggs, cooking oil (using canola) and mix enough of the milk in to see the batter drip in a consistent line instead of drops.

lightly oil your pan, keep the pan evenly oiled with a paper towel. at medium to high heat and bring it down when it's been heated up too much back down to a medium flame.

flip when edges get hardened and lots of bubbles appear.

try to flip only once. usually the first is the worst this is my second pancake.
