How is that an excuse? look at our team avg, look at the avg with RISP, look at our offense period.. shit ranks like near last in the MLB. Our squad is still in this because of PITCHING.

I've been a fan since I could remember.. '93 probably. Candlestick days, not like band wagon fans who think you actually are talking about candles.

The Giants are expected to call up right-hander Waldis Joaquin from Triple-A Fresno.
Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News suspects that he will replace the injured Jonathan Sanchez (ankle) on the active roster. Joaquin, 24, has a 3.16 ERA and 25/18 K/BB ratio over 42 2/3 innings at the Triple-A level this season. While Eric Surkamp or Dan Runzler are potential candidates to take Sanchez's spot in the rotation, Joaquin will presumably function in a middle relief role.

X-rays on Jeff Keppinger's wrist have come back negative.
It's evidently a relatively minor injury, but Keppinger still mind wind up on the disabled list, as the Giants need healthy bodies right now after going through a rash of injuries. Nate Schierholtz (foot) is also day-to-day, and it seems likely that San Fran will choose one of the two to DL. Keppinger is probably the better bet.

X-rays on Nate Schierholtz's right foot have come back negative.
He's considered day-to-day, but with the Giants being consumed by injuries right now, it's still possible Schierholtz will wind up on the DL. Stay tuned.

Giants closer Brian Wilson is not available Wednesday due to inflammation in his right elbow.
It was a back injury that sidelined him this past weekend. Wilson allowed three earned runs in a blown save Monday against the Braves and may be showing serious signs of fatigue here in mid-August. The Giants are hoping that he'll be back near 100 percent after 2-3 days of rest. He was cleared of any major structural damage this week by Dr. James Andrews.
